How’s about you support your candidate and stop trying to trash Fred Thompson. I’m not about to spend all damn day going through the congressional record on a bunch of failed amendments to see why the hell Fred’s name is on that. Frankly, I couldn’t care less.
You had your thread on it. It is completely irrelevant to this thread. Go back into your little dreamworld where Hunter is winning everything and leave those of us here in reality alone to try and get a conservative elected POTUS.

This isn’t the right thread for a discussion like you are bringing up BECAUSE
This event in Hollywood, FL is not a campaign event. It is a fundraiser for the group. This is about the group that he is speaking to, not Fred. I suppose he might get into family principles or principles that this group supports. I think he committed to doing this quite some time ago. IIRC
Not everything is a part of your agenda.

I pinged Jim to the thread last night. I don’t think Jim thinks that posting Fred’s real record on global warming is ‘trashing’ him.

Do ya think hell bring this up? http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-bloggers/1924826/posts?page=138#138 I fail to see the "smoking gun" you're claiming here. By the best evidence the Senate had in 2002, man-made global warming was considered a real problem. Establishing an agency to analyze the issue and develop strategies to deal with the problem with as little disruption as possible to the economy, security, or other interests of the United States made sense. A funding level of appx. $500 million per year ($4.75B over 9 years) is not particularly extravagant in federal terms.
Of course, it has become painfully obvious since then that the "science" was flawed, with the exception of the Goracle cult who blind themselves to the facts.
In short, believing a problem existed in 2002 is excusable, but believing it today is not, because the evidence to the contrary has since accumulated.
None of this, of course, has any bearing on the fact that Thompson is performing a fundraiser, not even a campaign even, on the behalf of an organization.
