Team McCain is swinging away at Rick Sanchez, who I ought to note, used to host the Sunday night blogger chat segments that I appear on from time to time. I think Sanchez is a pretty good anchor, but I saw the segment last night, and it seemed to be a pretty obvious effort to turn the question to McCain into a YouTube moment. Sanchez kept inferring that McCain thought it was "excellent" to call Hillary Clinton the B-word, and I think he's seeing something that isn't there. The "how to beat her" part is an excellent question to contemplate for any candidate who wants to win. And indeed, McCain went on to say he respected Hillary.

The CNN Network, affectionately known as the Clinton News Network, has stooped to an all-time low and is gratuitously attacking John McCain for not defending Hillary Clinton enough when a South Carolina voter used the 'B' word to describe her when John McCain stopped into a luncheon yesterday at the Trinity restaurant in Hilton Head, SC.
A voter used a word that I would not have used to describe Senator Hillary Clinton and asked the Senator how he was going to beat her. Senator McCain first responded by saying that he respected Senator Clinton, as he has said repeatedly throughout the campaign. Then, focusing on the question, he pointed to the new Rasmussen national poll showing that he is the only Republican candidate who can beat her in a general election. No other Republican candidate beat Clinton in the poll.

Call me crazy but I tend to prefer CNN to Fox for basic news. Fox is nuts, they cover fluff like Brittany 24/7.
The news in the morning is better on CNN.
Now the best show on TV is still the one Brit stars in. Thats a given.
We can only HOPE this becomes a News story, as half of America doesn’t get it....they are oblivious and watch the MSM as their source of what’s really going on in this country.
Back through these posts a-ways, I think you’ll find a post regarding “Gunny Bob,” where he referred to them as the commie news network...

McCain’s rating went up for me when I first heard this story. But after I read that he said he “respected” Sen. Clinton, it went back down again.

It is a silly show, but I get my news from other places.
I think it was just McCain’s polite way of saying that it wasn’t he who called her a bitch.
If he had actually said the word “bitch,” as this reporter notes, it would have been plastered all over Youtube forever, and McCain would have gone down in history mouthing the word “bitch.” So he dodged it.

I gave up on “Special Report” during amnesty. Hearing Fred and Mort talk about how bad I was for thinking like I do did it in for me on that show.

We’ve always referred to CNN as the clintin news netowrk. Where has McCain been all this time...on some other planet????
Fox not only covers all the Brittany-Paris-Lindsey stuff, but they have completely lost me with the 0J coverage. It is all horrible. And they added that woman to John Gibson’s show, making it totally unwatchable, instead of just kind of unwatchable. The women they have on in the afternoon are all dangerously inbred and, sorry to say, just plain dumb. If I hear one more of them talking about their kids I WILL SCREAM. It is so unprofessional. If I want entertainment news, I will watch an entertainment news program. Thank heavens my cable gives me MhZ and I get decent, serious newscasts from Europe and South America.

Too busy sitting there on those chairs like male and female models instead of just reporting the news like they are supposed to. Chit chat, chit chat, chit chat until it makes me want to throw up! It’s not news...it’s junk reporting. Reporting on Brittany or Paris or Lindsey is totally assinine to me and seems to me they are desperate to get viewers. That kind of trash should be left to the entertainment news and NOT supposedly a news channel like Fox.
I don’t watch it much in the afternoon, but I have a TV on my desk and when something is happening, I turn it on to get the news. Today there was a 7.2 earthquake in Chile. I wanted to hear about that. But every time I turned on Fox or CNN, I got 0J. World War III could break out and the world could be coming to an end and they would still be covering 0J.
Hell, one had to respect Hitler. He had the Wehrmacht working for him. And one has to respect certain dogs, such as Dobermans, male or female.
I think it is against Fox policy for any female to wear pants.

Agree. All of them are the same on CNN, MSNBC, FOX you name it. All glitz and glitter. Hard to take any of them serious although we don’t watch any of them anymore. Fox is going the way of the rest of them. Too bad. The had substance for awhile.
Brit Hume and his show is the only decent show on air. We barely watch TV at all. We watch Heroes and football. Maybe Discovery or History CH. So, if TV depended on us they would die out in a weeks time. We have several TVs and I dont’ know why. Ha,ha.
We get most of what we want from good ole Rush. He’s the man. He tells us the facts and he speaks the truth and what he says is golden. He’s all we need.

Sanchez a pretty good anchor!? That moronic POS ran over someone in the parking lot of Joe Robbie Stadium (I don’t care what they call it these days, it’ll always be JRS) after a Fins game and copious amounts of neck oil and drove away to sober up.
The local yokels let him get away with it and the network moved him out to a Spanish language affiliate in Texas for a couple of years to let the stench subside. Sanchez could be the Ted Knight/Kent Brockman poster boy of news idiots!
