LAS VEGAS, Nevada (CNN) -- Sen. Hillary Clinton stepped into the ring Thursday in this city known for prize fights, successfully beating back an onslaught of punches thrown from the left and right as her opponents sought to rattle the front-runner seven weeks before the Iowa caucuses.

It was a team effort last night... to put the Clinton Coronation back on track. Wolfie, Suzanne, Obama, Edwards... all got high-fives from Huma and the gang.

I’m starting to get the feeling this is going to be a HRC v. Giuliani election. Thompson, my choice, just doesn’t seem to be going anywhere, especially with McCain regaining some lost ground. Romney, not my idea of a conservative, seems to be convincing many folks he IS a conservative, and he and the lower-tier candidates are dividing the conservative support that would be going to Thompson.

I see Morning Joe has begun the Hillary cheerleading this am.. My take on it..
Biden cant figure out if he wants to be the designated standup comic or actually run for Prez. Considers himself THE expert on judiciary. Comes across as a self inflated arrogant windbag.
Hillary had thick makeup on her face but they missed her wrinkly neck. Notice she had the black pants on to minimize the wide back end. Campbell Brown should have come back to her and simply said Hillary, do you want to answer the question or not?
Obama is a weird duck who wants to play the professor and is pretty poor at head to head combat.
Edwards is good at making his points but needed some one line soundbytes. He continually had to keep saying, Wolf, I am almost done which is a bad sign he spoke too long.
Kucinich - if anyone wants communism, here it is.
Richardson - looks constipated and short of breath while talking, somewhat incoherent. Needs to lay off the tacos before the debates. The human rights man who has forgotten 9-11.
Dodd - Cant you picture this old fogy sitting in a nursing home pointing his finger and lecturing the nurses aides as the know it all that he is. Pathetic candidate really.

Hillary’s answers were empty, that is, hyperbole and no substance. You nailed the other candidates. The whole thing was staged, tedious, and repetitious. The spin machines are doing their thing to prop up Hillary’s drab performance.

The local Hartford CT (Commie) Courant laps up every word from this windbag as though it was holy writ.
At least his crooked senator father was an anti-communist.
Dodd is a useless eater (and will still be one when he is in that nursing home).

Wolfie threw in the towel... no Russert-style questions for ‘the little lady’ this time. No doubt Rapist42 gave him a bit of the Chris Wallace treatment over the phone... and Wolfie’s p_d... turned to pudding.

Poor candidates but with the mindless ignorant voters who have been told by the media for 7 years to hate Bush and the GOP, I bet Pee Wee Herman would still get 49% as a Dem. So they only need to brainwash a small number, or give illegals or prison felons voting rights, and they win. The example is the gigolo Kerry who is actively disliked by most of his fellow Senators, came within a hair of winning. Scary

I had heard that Dodd’s local natives are tiring of his useless galavanting and fantasizing about the “Dodd” administration. One can only hope but the windbag will be in the Senate till he drops over I am sure. He truly is pathetic, and on top of that, he was bashing the Ted Kennedy NLCB program. Wonder what Teddy thought while seeing his handiwork ridiculed.

Perfect cartoon to start out the morning you posted there sure fine.
I can see Carville telling Wolfie now.
"Now Wolf, here's how we get out of this illegal alien NY drivers licenses problem, we want a yes or no only question,,, you got that Wolfie? We don't want her to blab her trap anymore than she already has,,,you got that Wolfie? You give us that yes or no question, and we will take care of it from here,,,you got that Wolfie?
Hillary gets her softball,
Wolfie gets a call from Slick, "Wolf, you can breath easier now".

Well, good morning to everyone...I made the mistake of tuning in to Frank Luntz chatting with the Friends on Fox. GUSHING was Frank over Mrs. Clinton!!! His audience meters plunged during Obama's "attack" and soared with her tired, lame "kitchen" line. He chose 5 audience members who just raved and raved over her performance, her direct answers to FIX everything. One poor fellow said that she wore pantsuits because she is the only one who "wears the pants."

WOLF TURNS 'LAMB'; CLINTON CAMPAIGN SAYS CNN HOST 'OUTSTANDING'
CNN debate moderator Wolf Blitzer did an 'outstanding' job in Vegas, a senior adviser to the Hillary campaign said early Friday. 'He was outstanding, and did not gang up like Russert did in Philadelphia. He avoided the personal attacks, remained professional and ran the best debate so far. Voters were the big winners last night.'
A rival campaign insider charges: 'Wolf turned into a lamb. No follow-up question on Clinton's huge flip on drivers licenses?'

I think someone tipped her off to wear bright makeup in cool colors, to wear a light suit and to put pale streaks in her hair.

If I were Joe Biden, Dodd or Richardson, I would be so insulted that with all their experience, they are not even in the top tier, but Hillary, just because she was 1st lady, is somehow qualified to be president of the U.S. and commander in chief. She has absolutely no qualifications.
Did anyone else notice she looks like she’s put on a few lately? She’s big but this is the biggest I’ve seen her, I think. She needs to stay away from the food tables at all those barbecues.

Geraldo on with the Friends now ripping the Breck Girl because he won’t go on Fox...but he will go on CNN with that "awful, terrible, racist, anti-immigrant" Lou Dobbs. Geraldo prefers Mrs. Breck Girl and wishes she would run. When asked about the debate, he said he took a trip on his boat instead and bored us with some all-about-me tale.

It's apparent that Hillary's handlers helped her to choose a crisp, new look in
hair, makeup, and jacket to fit better with CNN's backdrop.
The other candidates looked terrible.
Diamonds or snowy white pearls would have been fine in that setting.

This is my first democrat debate. All of it was an obvious set up for Hillary. Biden & Dodd are there to run cover and wasted time for Hillary. Kassinich is there for comic relief. Obama and Edwards are there for cheap competition. Hillary is good at quips and short bits. More than that and she is sour, stupid and contradictory.
All this is cheap soap opera with dangerous consequence.

Actually Hillary came out still looking bad. Shrill, difficult answering a simple question, inappropriate laughter/smiling, non-presidential. However, as predicted yesterday on FR, CNN and other media are spinning in her favor. A big loser was Wolf Blitzer. Obama hurt himself also.
