CNN’s Malveaux Modifies Voter Question to Make It About Abortion

CNN’s Suzanne Malveaux, while moderating the second half of the Democratic presidential debate in Las Vegas on Thursday night, added her own "two cents" to a question she fielded from an "undecided voter." After the voter asked the nominees what qualifications a Supreme Court nominee should possess, Malveaux directed the question to Senator Christopher Dodd, and added whether or not he would "require nominees to support abortion rights."

LaShannon Spencer, who was identified as a member of the First African Methodist Church, asked the question near the top of the 10 pm Eastern hour. She highlighted how health care and the Iraq war had, in her view, dominated the questions during past debates. "We constantly hear health care questions, and questions pertaining to the war. But we don't hear questions pertaining to the Supreme Court justice or education. My question is, if you are elected president, what qualities must the appointee possess?"

The “right” to kill babies is very important to these people.

No one should be surprised by Suzanne Malveaux’s conduct at last nights debate. Suzanne Malveaux is a screaming liberal who hates George Bush. Further she is a member of the Black Journalists Association of America which to me would make her a member of a large group of liberals.

Yes. As much as I normally think of Biden as a staph infection, he was all over that one.

True, but as my tagline delineates, Joe.B has a warped view of the 14th amendment.

Perhaps when it comes to abortion, Malveaux is an, um, regular consumer, and is personally concerned.

In light of the other articles about how these questions were planted by CNN, she was merely doing a bit of weeding and pruning.

Note that I completely avoided the use of the word "hoeing".

Actually, the questions were handed out and the questioners hand picked. I think that a couple of the questioners changed the question, so Malveax was correcting it.

Biden did very well last night.

I agree. I will tell you though, I think those questions were selected in advance, and it’s my opinion that questioner didn’t complete her question as assigned, or at the very least agreed to in advance. That’s why Malveaux added in the abortion question.

Another poster mentioned that the union member never said she was a union leader, but Obama thanked her for her efforts on behalf of union members.

Obama may have mispoke, but it does make one womder how much CNN and the candidates knew about the questioners and their questions in advance of the ‘debate’.

It was my observation that every questioner was a plant and Wolf Blitzer was the fertilizer.

“CNN’s Malveaux Modifies Voter Question to Make It About Abortion”

No suprise...sometime in the last year she got an on-the-air
“p-ssing match” with Lou Dobbs...ON Lou Dobbs’ show.

IIRC, she didn’t appear on Dobbs’ show for quite a while.

Could Ms. Malveaux’s being Chmn of the GOP in RIchmond have anything to do with the party’s extraordinary success over the past few election cycles ? j/k

Suzanne is a real lib, that’s for sure, but for my money, I’d rather see CNN newbie Kiran Chetry put forth one of those pro-abort questions. In my opinion, Kiran is one of the biggest pro-aborts there is. Jon Klein got him a good one when Kiran joined his ranks. Whatever happened to Judy Woodruff? She’s another one that ranks right up there with the hostile feminists. She never looked happy about anything. Oh, and Candy Crowley....who could forget Candy?

Speaking of Judy Woodruff, you’re right I haven’t seen her around in a while. I could always tell when conservatives were doing good. You could count the frown lines in Woodruff’s forehead and she would scowl. Someone finally clued her in about her forehead frown lines and she started combing her bangs down to her eyebrows. Remember her old man too, she was married to Al Hunt.

You don’t actually believe that any of these women in the news business are pro-life, now do you? To me, Chetry has always had this “liberated woman, feminist, don’t tell me what to do with my body” kind of attitude. I’ve never seen it written anywhere that she’s pro-abortion, but listen to some of her questioning on the subject sometime, and in my opinion, she is a pro-abort. CNN hired her, so there’s zero chance that she’s pro-life!
