What am I supposed to “barf” about?
This story will probably in someone’s Sunday paper, it reads like a Sunday paper feature.
There is a lot that can be done, of course. Denying welfare checks and food stamps to cohabitating families is certainly an idea. Doing so would at least encourage the young ladies to screen out the bummy kind of males who are more inclined to this kind of abuse.
Little point in bringing a man into the household that can’t support it.
It sounds like the result of unmarried mothers and easy divorce, to me.

Just had a case in Pittsburgh where the mother’s boyfriend raped a 10 month old baby girl.
My momma loves me, that’s all that matters.
For throwing a kid across the room and killing him and only getting 5 years. That's definitely barf-worthy.

The Bed Partner of the Month of a divorced or never-married mother of young children will in many cases see those children as little better than nuisances, competitors for the time and attention of their mother, from whom he wants undivided attention and SEX. Such women are never held to account, legally, for permitting ne-er do well strangers to have access to their babies. They are not without some culpability.

You didn’t find anything to barf about in the way these kids were treated before they died? Nothing to barf about when one of the murderers gets a whole five years for snuffing out a two year old like a candle?
I’m all for fair trials, but a visceral part of me wants guys like that to just be shot in the back of the head immediately after arrest so they stop using up precious oxygen.
My brother coined a term to describe these guys: Daddy du jour. On the one hand it says it all about just how much is missing from the lives of these children, but on the other hand it is far too complimentary to most of these guys.
Barf alerts are usually because the author is twisting the facts and/or spewing propaganda. Accurately writing about the facts, even ugly facts, isn’t a barf alert.
Now I didn’t read the whole article so I don’t know if there’s barfers in it, but at least I didn’t see them in what I did read.
