Amen, amen, amen! I’ve had people in my personal life who should know better treat me as if I’m the Church Lady when I’ve expressed even the slightest concern about these kind of living arrangements. Maybe our society is finally realizing that we don’t have to have all this divorce and acrimony. “Happy wife” doesn’t necessarily equal “Stepford Wife.”

They needed a study to figure that out, it is the same in Britain and I am sure worldwide children in a home where at least one of the supposed parents is not their biological parent are at far more risk.

Mothers or fathers ignore the danger because they want the relationship with the so called step parent.

The sad fact is though where they are true loving step fathers and mothers they are now not congratulated on how they taken on a family as well as a new wife or husband but are under a cloud and if something God forbids happens to the child the are immediately the number one suspect.

A sign of the times I fear which indicates to me we are definitely in the end times.

No just saddened by what I was already sadly aware of and yes I know I used the word sad twice in the same sentance but it is the only word IMHO that conveys how I feel.

"You didn’t find anything to barf about in the way these kids were treated before they died? Nothing to barf about when one of the murderers gets a whole five years for snuffing out a two year old like a candle?"

I always took the barf alerts to mean that the article contained some ridiculous praise for some liberal or such.

Why the barf bag alert? We’ve all known this for years. The ‘social services’ folks are trying to NOT say what’s glaringly obvious to them and everyone else, but they can’t deny the facts. I’m glad the author put all these horror stories in one column.

The minute I saw this article, the one word that came to mind was... DUH!!!!...
The thing to barf about is how little common sense is left in the peanut sized brains of the media folks.
They constantly find little things that are just plain common sense and blow them up into big stories like it took a rocket scientist to figure out the obvious.
ooh... the next thing you hear is that they had a multi-million dollar study that came to the conclusion that the sun might possibly be part of the reason why it tends to be brighter during the day than at night.
