I hope that it is becoming more and more clear to you that you are wasting your time providing entertainment and "pegs" onto which to further anti-Church sentiment is framed.

Just take a look at their history of posting here -- most of the Mormon-bashers do not post on any other subject than their contention that the Church is a 100% false, evil, and dangerous cult. That in itself if pitiful, suspicious, and a good reason not to feed their obsession.

But oddly enough, none of them has yet answered my question as to which churches they belong to and why I should believe as they do. Most sound as though they belong to pablum-eating splinter sects that have one foot in the grave, in contrast to the "LDS" Church which continues to grow and grow around the world and does not waste valuable time and resources in slamming the beliefs of others.

I rather doubt that very many of them even tithe as commanded by the Lord in their (our) own King James Bible.

Cast not your pearls......

I’m here to learn from them. It isn’t significant whether or not they derive entertainment from it. Since my goal is not to convince them, I do not get frustrated by their intransigence.

Along the way, valuable and interesting examples are displayed, both of intelligence, knowledge, and other positive traits, as well as of intolerance, ignorance, and things which help me to understand the thinking and frame of mind of those in the world who have a similar viewpoint. It also forces me to confront and resolve those aspects of my faith with which I’m uncomfortable; this, in turn, serves to strengthen my confidence in my beliefs. All in all, it’s a worthwhile hobby.

I haven’t cast any pearls yet - I don’t believe I’ve ever discussed here a topic with regards to Mormonism that couldn’t be gleaned from a trip to the bookstore. Such people have, by choice, no idea of the riches of wisdom we are blessed with by the fulness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ - so much of it in the form of spiritual knowledge which cannot be expressed.

Let he who has ears to hear...

McConkie was called on the carpet more than once. His pronouncements were bold but unfortunately sometimes flawed.
