A major contributor to Democratic causes and political races was indicted Friday on charges of falsely holding himself out as a lawyer and impersonating a public servant.

Mauricio Celis, a Corpus Christi businessman, has a controlling interest in the CGT Law Group of Corpus Christi even though he is not an attorney.

Now, he's being accused of practicing law without a license. Texas law prohibits anyone from owning a controlling interest in a law firm unless he is a licensed lawyer.

Celis has contributed thousands to state and federal candidates, including the presidential campaign of Sen. Hilary Clinton.

I'm shocked. The word "Democrat" actually appears in the headline. Upon further review I noticed this is the website of the local NBC affiliate in Corpus Christi not the Corpus Christi Caller-Times. Here's the headline.

Notice how not even Celis' name appears in the headline. Why does the Caller-Times always publish the least information about this story that they can credibly get away with? If the San Antonio and Houston papers hadn't covered it, the Caller-Times would still be embargoing it. Why does the Caller-Times carry water for Celis, Watts, and the politicians receiving money from Celis?

The CC Times “fish wrap” is a total political hack for the liberals. I love to read it each morning after I read Drudge and FR to see how much they contorted the truth in almost every article they present.

My liberal acquaintances “not friends” flatly refuse to believe anything other than what is in the paper. In many cases, I have to print out the truth from the internet to show them all of the words, sentences and paragraphs that were not included in the CC blab articles.
