“”You’re not comparing apples and oranges; you’re comparing watermelons and grapes,” said Rob Casey, who heads the FBI section that puts out the Uniform Crime Report”
I’m sure that will be classified as a racial slur.

"These rough rankings provide no insight into the numerous variables that mold crime in a particular town, city, county, state, or region," the FBI said. "Consequently, they lead to simplistic and/or incomplete analyses that often create misleading perceptions adversely affecting communities and their residents." WTF???? Let's see if we can provide some insight then, how about this?
The cities at the top of the list are financial black holes, because no matter HOW MANY TAX DOLLARS are diverted into these hellholes the Democratic criminal enterprise that runs them steal most of it. I'd also be willing to bet that most of the city council in these cities is under indictment for some sort of bribery or fraud charges. BUT - they keep getting re-elected by a populace that's been convinced they are victims of the system and not responsible for their behavior.
There - that should clarify things for the FBI.

Lives would be spared right now if we would just withdraw from this quagmire.

Personally, I think a ranking of “most dangerous neighborhoods” would be more practical as even “safe” cities have parts of town where you don’t want to find yourself alone at night.

Pardon my ignorance on the matter, but how far from Fairbanks is the ANWR reserve? Is there any chance that oil drilling might happen there within our lifetime?
Just asking, thats all.

When gas station owners need to shoot in defense of lower prices, well, there’s your sign.

Detroit also has the largest Muslim population per capita in the U.S. Hmmmm.........
To: Mr_Moonlight
Fairbanks, the country’s Fourth Most Dangerous City, is the nearest city to ANWR. Some villages are closer. The North Slope is already developed as far as oil is concerned, ANWR being a leftover from the Big One. The question now is the Natural Gas Pipeline—very much an unknown and not particularly encouraging now.

Detroit also has the largest Muslim population per capita in the U.S. Hmmmm......... That's not necessarily true. With 20%, that distinction belongs to the Peoples' Republic of Kalifornia compared to Michigan's scant 3.4%.

Birmingham went through a very tough depression in the thirties with a low crime rate. It was a WASP city at that time. Later we had a huge influx of folks coming from the rural (Black Belt) southern areas. It has really changed the complexion of this city. It is now about 100,000 less in population. Just this weekend we had over ten shootings with at least four dead and six wounded. These are not WASP’s doing the shooting, rapes and robberies.

What, exactly, is irresponsible about publishing crime rates? Isn’t this usefull information? The criminology “experts” apparently don’t like associating crime with danger. I believe most reasonable people would consider crime dangerous.
