The good news is that 919,000 people in Detroit aren’t murdered every day. The bad news is 5-6 of them are.

My one and only visit was to Detroit for a convention at Cobo Hall some 40 years ago. Was from KC then. Boss told me to NEVER go out on the street alone, as did my taxi driver - day or night. Remember being frightened out of my wits the entire time I was there.
Forty years ago was 1967, the year of the riot.
That actually surprises me. Sugarland used to be nice, but with a certain amount of minority ute violence that made it not a place you wanted to leave your garage door open at night. I could see Katy being number 4, but Sugarland surprises me a little.
Not that much though, it’s a nice place from what I’ve heard and seen. I guess I’m only about 6-7 miles from there and it’s pretty diverse where I’m at. Too bad diversity always seems to equal violent crime.
I'd hate to think those who are trying with their votes to clean up that mess are becoming the victims of it.
I visited there in 1997. The friend I went to see said she just doesn’t go out at night, that’s all.
So, are they saying Detroit isn’t the most dangerous? Or are they saying “don’t talk about crime, it scares the good taxpayers”?
That list is unfair and biased. The cities that have the least crime, are typically white/blue collar whites, that have become wealthy on the backs of undocumented workers and other minorities.
Oh my, houses on sale for a dollar? But you’d have to live in Detroit though.
I’d wager that if you removed the Muslims from Detroit the per capita crime rate would go up.

as you can see, Bush actually carried Montmorency and many of the other counties listed. Even wayne (Detroit area) was about 70% for kerry, not 90+. Some of the stats for counties in other states seem plausible, but the author of your list obviously pushed some wrong buttons in computing michigan. TOTAL Bush Kerry

Unless folks get over all of that fear of being called racist, they will never make progress here. I fear they won't anyhow. It's just a natural cultural evolution. Subculture is gonna win out one way or another. Detroit is but one sore amongst many.

btw, Fairbanks is about 40% minorities descended with a large transient population in a town of 30,000 (epodunk)....I bet the main criminal there is long winter alcohol
