COLUMBIA, South Carolina (CNN) In the race for presidential endorsements, Mike Huckabee has the kitschy pop culture celebrity vote on lockdown.
First it was martial arts hero and "Walker, Texas Ranger" star Chuck Norris, who appears with Huckabee in his first TV ad.
Then hard-rocking hunting enthusiast Ted Nugent jumped on the Huckabee bandwagon, citing the Republican's support for second amendment rights.
Now, Huckabee is getting ready to rumble: wrestler Ric Flair, a.k.a. The Nature Boy, is supporting the former Arkansas governor in his bid for the White House.
CNN has confirmed the former WWF and WWE star wrestler is on board with Huckabee, and will co-host a campaign tailgate with the candidate at the South Carolina vs. Clemson football game on Saturday afternoon in Columbia, South Carolina. More details are forthcoming.

Whoooooooooooooooooooooooo!
"Show me just what Mohammed brought that was new, and there you will find things only evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached." - Manuel II Palelologus
Wow!! Chuck Norris, Ted Nugent, Zig Ziglar and Jerry Jenkins, and now The Nature Boy! This is unstoppable momentun!
Maybe the guy who played the bartender on Love Boat will be next.

The Cultural Hicks for the Huckester.
You can’t make this stuff up.
Don’t forget he also has Pulpit Pimp Kenny Copeland.

Whoooo!!!
Yet Huckster is.
If Isaac Washington (Ted Lange) supports Huckabee, I think every other candidate should pack up the tents because the race is over. Gopher never packed a punch like Isaac.
I’m withholding judgement until Gary Coleman endorses a candidate.
I can’t wait for Huckabee to announce that he’s a kiss stealin’, wheelin’ dealin’, jet flyin’, limousine ridin’, son of a gun. Whoooooooooo!
lol!!
I’m holding out for a special edition of South Park before I make my decision.
So? Why would anyone care any more about a motivational speaker than a professional wrestler? They're both professional entertainers.
Who will Jimmy “JJ” Walker endorse?
I never knew that Ric was a conservative! thats cool.
People have made a lot of money from using Zig’s advice. I’m a Thompson supporter, but Zig’s a good guy.
Well that does it.... I GOTTA vote for him now.
Now we just need Dusty Rhodes on the campaign trail stating, "I have dined with Kings & Queens and slept in alleys and dined on pork and beans." LOL
Anyone who will give him welfare and wine would be my best guess. :)
no but I have more respect for these guys for supporting anyone more conservative than Rudy.
The only one from Hollywood who supports Fred...is well...Fred. but that doesn’t bother me because Fred isn’t about fluff.
Zigler doesn't give actual "advice." He just gives out a slew of recycled self-improvement platitudes. Thanks but no thanks.
“welfare and wine”
That reads so funny together, LOL.
That Huckabee has garnered their support has been by far the most impressive thing I’ve heard about the old John Edwards sound-alike class warfare mongering semi-socialist populist.
Guessed you missed it — Jimmy’s now a conservative columnist and had dinner with Rush Limbaugh and Ann Coulter a couple of weeks ago. Rush mentioned it on his show.
Nope, not joking.
The only one from Hollywood who supports Fred...is well...Fred. but that doesnt bother me because Fred isnt about fluff.
Huck is taking all the steam (well if their actually ever was any) from Fred daily. Huck is helping Fred to not win this thing. Duncan will come up from the back and speed toward victory (hopefully). If not than Romney will take it all!!! Thank God for the Huckster!!!!
Good for JJ. Wonder how his lil militant brother Michael (Ralph Carter) feels about JJ’s transformation?
BTW, thanks for the update on JJ.
That’s my plan as well. :)
I am jazzed at the prospect of a 2008 election w/o the daily show.
Umm, actually, his books are full of advice, such as dealing with a plethora of objections, the importance of voice inflection, attitude, choice of words, and moral character. He also gives advice other successful salespeople have suggested. My sales have increased by using techniques he's suggested, and I would suggest his Secrets of Closing the Sale to anybody who is in the world of selling.
That being said, again, I disagree with his support of Huckabee.
My Dad was a salesman (and therefore Zig=God), so I read alot of his books and lecture tapes.
I went to school with one of his Grand Kids in elementary. One year during a bookfair at school, Zig came to speak to her class. The author they had scheduled for my grade sucked, and they were nice enough to let me go to the lecture for the 9th graders (Zig’s). He seemed genuinely surprised and delighted that a 10 yr old would be hyper excited to meet him, and actually want to talk about his books (Which I had devoured.) Said he wished his granddaughter and her friends liked his stuff so much. He seemed ancient 20 years ago, and we are blessed he’s still around.
Zig Rocks :)
Whooooooo!
I heard some time back that Flair was also considering running for governor in North Carolina in 08. I can just hear him campaigning right now...”to be the man you gotta beat the man - Whoooooo!”.
Who cares about the Nature Boy?? I want to know who Macho Man Randy Savage endorses. LOL
Personally, I’m waiting for Huckabee to look straight into the camera and say, “Whether you like it, or don’t like it, sit down and look at it, because it’s the best thing going today . . . WHOOOOOO!”
However, if he makes comments about his opponents having to ride Space Mountain all night long, I might get a little creeped out.
A teacher of mine in high school made us read Zig's "See You at the Top" and yes it was little more than Up with People without the bad music.
The other pubbies better hope Richard Petty and DW don't get on the Huckabee bandwagon!
If he does,Mike will probably come close to sweeping the south.
I was impressed with the Ted Nugent backing. I had not heard that yet. Let’s see if some here decide Ted is now a liberal, like they did with Chuck Norris.
Here are some other quotes I found:
“If you’re gonna walk that mile, you gotta walk that aisle.”
I’m a limousine ridin’, jet flyin’, kiss stealin’, wheelin’ dealin’ son of a gun. WOOOO!!
Space Mountain may be the oldest ride in the park, but it has the longest line.
This ain’t no garden party, brother, this
is wrestling, where only the strongest survive.
Girls, you can’t be the first, but you can be next.
Man, that was a trip back to the 80s right there. I spent many a Saturday evening as a kid watching Flair and the Horsemen battle Dusty Rhodes, Magnum T.A., and the Road Warriors. Whooooooooooo!
November 20, 2007: The day campaign endorsements officially became absurd. Mark your calendars.
It’s only a matter of time before supposedly-serious people wearing grown-up clothes start talking about which candidate has been endorsed by Eric Cartman or Spongebob,
I wouldn't bet on Isaac, but we might get an endorsement from Gopher, aka Fred Grandy, formerly a Republican House rep from Iowa.
I always detested the bad guys, especially the Four Horsemen.
My favorites were Mr. Wrestling 2 and Tony Atlas.
I used to split my Saturdays watching the Braves (lose) and wrestling, and you could find wresting on a few stations during the day on Saturday.
Heads up for the Wrestling Ping list! :-)
Hmmmm.
I’m not a Huckabee guy, but this could actually be significant.
I’m a pro-wrestling fan from way back and I’m always surprised at how many folks underestimate the reach of its audience - kind of like NASCAR.
This could give the Gov. a nice bump.
I hadn't heard the "Nuge" had come out and endorsed anybody yet. It surprises me that he would support Huckabee. I would have figured the Nuge for more of a Thompson man.....
