The Pennsylvania Democrat conceded violence was down dramatically and some normalcy restored on Iraq's streets, but he said U.S. victory remains unattainable as long as Baghdad fails to pass national reconciliation laws. It is easy for the Rats to say that we can not win when the definition of "victory" changes every other day to something that we have not accomplished.

What Murtha means is...
“We CAN’T win militarily, we just can’t. It will hurt the Democratic party and Hillary will lose. We can’t let it happen. No no no, we just can’t”.
That’s what he really meant.

He’s making slow progress. He’s gone from “we’ve lost” to “we can’t win,” and now to “we can’t win militarily.”

Worse, he's waaaaay stuck back in March 2003, when the MSM was "predicting" massive casualties in our Divisions from the "Dreaded" Republican Guard.
Knowing Murtha, he'd probably would have lead Saddam's FORCES himself, had he the chance.

Let him say whatever he wants - who listens to this moron anyway? The more clear winning becomes, the more we want the Left to Keep saying all’s lost. They’ll look like Frank Drebin from “Police Squad” in front of the exploding fireworks factory saying “There’s nothing to see here..”

Let them keep digging this hole for themselves. While they position themselves more to the left and abandon the troops in the field, AND the conditions on the ground continue to improve (notice how there has been nothing in the MSM about the improvements), they will look very, very bad come election time. Imagine trying to hold a position that they claimed defeat early on, tried more than 40 times to tell the Commander in Chief how to prosecute the war (to no avail) and then tried to defund the war with troops in the field can cause US bases to make cuts. Doesn’t bode well for them in the long run. It will be interesting to see how Hillary, Obama and Edwards position themselves on this topic.

I mentioned August, 2007, because through that entire month, the New York Review of Books was headlining an article by Peter Galbraith which included the blunt statement: “The Iraq war is lost.” The timing of this silly statement couldn’t have been more ironic...

Murtha is an ex-Marine. Most, if not all, will never call themselves an ex-Marine, but my belief is that he is, or will be, shunned by real Marines. As was done with sKerry, it’s time someone looked into his military record or was it sealed by Jimmuh also?

Don’t waste your time hating, use all that energy to defeat the democrats in 2008. You can look at Reid ,Murtha,Pelosi and others in congress and see what hate does to people.
They will lose this battle as they did in May. Hopefully they will lose across the board in 2008.
Pray for our troops, President Bush and our great country.

Understandable. Given one bullet and having been brought Hugo Chavez and John Murtha I find myself perplexed. Where did this debate go off the tracks? I guess that’s it. The fact Murtha has more in common with Chavez than a fellow countryman is the problem.
