Actually all congressional fights provided by the Air Force should be grounded. Let them all take to the airways with the regular folks and experience the problems we face.

I don’t believe they should fly at all. My solution is to shut down D.C. Let them stay in their districts. With today’s technology there is no reason for them to be there. They have the ability to videoconference and electronically vote from anywhere.
That would make it much harder for special interest groups to lobby them and they would be more accountable for their actions when constituents are banging down their door every day all day long.
They are not accessible to the people who voted them into office while in D.C. Bring them home to their districts to stay.

32 trips a year is too many. All these perks need to be looked into. I’m for being reasonable, but these things easily get out of hand.

Our military funding is being held up. Our security could be at risk. Yep. It’s long past time to get tough.

I believe the only people that should have aircraft access is The President, Vice President, Senate Majority Leader, Senate Minority Leader, House Majority Leader, and House Minority Leader and that is it!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree, except I wouldn't include anybody from the House or Senate. ;-)

&&&&&

The other 20 weekends they are already home in their own districts. So 32 really covers their weekly commute. Because they are so special!!!!

Its the reserved parking at Reagan National that really sticks in my throat! I have had to pay $40 to park there for a couple of hours because empty spaces were being held for these princes of the realm.

Very good points!

The technology is certainly available, and we could attract better candidates, ones who don't want to leave their families, or move them to a $h|thole like D.C.

galore - In great numbers; in abundance

Some object to the phrase Pelosi Galore. I don't. Some say that it is gross and it's a double-entendre. I say it refers to perks and Ms Pelosi is demanding oodles of perks that befit her status as "the most powerful woman in the world." Though of course she attempts to cloud the issue with claims of mission requirements.

The Los Angeles Times reported that Pelosi had asked for a C-40 . . . Pelosi and her aides say her security would require a larger plane that can fly coast to coast without refueling . . . "It's not a question of size, it's a question of distance," Pelosi said.

Pelosi Galore strikes again. It’s catchy. I like it. In the office she’s known as “Puhluzi” rhyming with falacious “faloozy”.

In 2007, the Democratic Senate only managed to pass TWO of its 15 required appropriations bills

I’m surprised Pelosi hasn’t demanded one of the new Airbus double-deckers be fitted out as her palace in the air.

It could probably be shown by facts and figures that there is no distinctly native criminal class except Congress.

I contend that for a nation to try to tax itself into prosperity is like a man standing in a bucket and trying to lift himself up by the handle.
