I’m leaving this in bn for now, in a nod to our Canadian comrades-at-arms. None of the other Mods or Jim are awake yet, we had a 40lb turkey and finished off a case and a half of Lafite (thanks, pres. Sarkozy!) last night. I just decided to get up early for a swim and the first crack at the masseuse. Don’t forget to donate to FR, everyone!

Richard Warman has made $48,500 through the CHRC so far! --his first payoff was pretty good and he's been looking to find that pot of gold again... and with the public covering the costs, no less.

The only other one I am aware of was Free Brittania, which is currently no longer on line- but I certainly recommend Free Dominion as "a home away from home," and a good fallback site for those times Free Republic is down.

Can they mirror the site on US servers, move the servers to the US, or start a non-profit here?
I know this doesn’t meet the control freaks head-on, but at least it will keep the site up while the fun and games ensue in courts.
I want to thank Backhoe for bringing this matter to everyone's attention here at FR. As you can folks, there are elements of the New World Order that are showing themselves to be very poor sports when it comes to people blowing the whistle on their unethical and illegal activities.
What's even more sad about this is that a whole lot of the "Jane and John Does" are on a very fixed income and are not going to be a the position to pay off any civil judgments that end up being imposed on them if the judge issues a ruling in favor of this shyster.
Being a liberal, progressive, moderate or non-believer does not entitle you from public criticism. Apparently, this sorry lazy miserable good for nothing seems to think he's a special person. He may be a special person in his own dream world but in the real world he is not.
Folks, if there is ever a reason why we need to be very careful about who we put in office this is it. Ohterwise what is happening to FD could very well haappen to us.
And to reiterate what the Ad. Mon said be sure to donate to FR or bump the Freepathon threads when they come up. I think January is our next Freepathon.

I’m concerned about the future of free speech in Canada. I’ve heard that Dr. Laura and Dr. Dobson have been censored in Canada because, among other things, they have spoken out about homosexuality and other aspects of the decline of morality in recent years.
Does anyone else agree that freedom of speech means that we will have to be willing to let those we disagree with have their say? There are some troubling trends in Canada in this area.
I think that Canada censored Dr. Laura and Dr. Dobson under hate speech laws, that they are perpetrating hatred by even talking about moral issues. I think it speaks for itself when you see what they want to censor.
In fact, they relocated their server here several years ago, anticipating problems like this. Unfortunately, Mark & Connie- the owners- are Canadian, as is this Warman jackal, so while the site is likely to stay online at least for now, this new suit is a problem for them.

Seems like the Canadian legal entity is the foothold for the loyah. Never ceases to amaze me how they can be so evil and legal at the same time.
Like I said, they may have to divest all holdings to a US non-profit, if it comes to that. It would require a degree of trust, no doubt.

Well, when Queen Hillary is on the throne and the Marxists control the Peoples Socialist Congress, then they will do this to us also, but not through lawsuits, but rather through the vote and Hillary’s pen. Talk radio, web sites like Free Republic, any if there are such a thing out there any more called conservative news papers. They will shut them down to protect themselves and their power so that the truth can no longer again see the light of day. Then they will control the news through the MSM.

The whole problem is that people are succumbing to the actions of a minute few people. Rising to the top in defiance is the only way to stop those people. Ganging up on those few and intimidation will usually work. Defy the frivolous lawsuits with counter suits.
A few small people can never silence the majority unless the majority allows it to happen. Freedom of speech is a fight for the very core of freedom in general.

If we just thumb our noses at those people and especially the courts that allow those frivolous lawsuits, in defiance, they will be powerless to enforce anything.

Minority groups only have power because the people have granted them power. Racial minority, perhaps entitled as equally represented, but when it comes to political and constitutional power, only the people can protect the majority status as dominant.

I don’t think I have ever been more impressed with a mod’s post. My hat is off to you. By contrast. I got up this morning as my wife was going off to shop and the most energetic thing I could do was say “I never want to eat again.”
