Hopefully the next "demonstration" will not be nuclear. But if it has to be to avoid a nuclear demonstration on the West....so be it.
It really doesn't matter whose tankers we use, friend. Tankers will be topping-up in Kuwait, Yemen, etc., anyway, so the intel is out there.
"... Personally, rather than using all that good JetA for a "demonstration"...I'd rather we just take out Iran's military and nuclear capability and save the fuel for a rainy day. We're gonna have to do that someday soon anyway - demonstration or not!..."
It's doubtful that we're gassing-up for a 'demonstration'. It's time for the real thing - December 7th weekend ................................... FRegards
Agreed.
CENTCOM continues to improve its ability to project force in the Persion Gulf, in incremental surges, to avoid a long build-up, should war be required, and to de-sensitize Iran towards increases in military readiness.
CENTCOM may have believed that the B2 hangar upgrades at Diego Garcia, and increases in future aircraft and ship fuels would pass unnoticed, or this could be another surge which will create a flurry in the media, die off, and further desensitize Iran.
I would not be at all surprised to see significant deployments and significant increases in force readiness beginning shortly after New Year’s, bringing us to a point where major combat operations can be sustained beginning between February 1 and March 31, 2008.
In the middle of a Presidential campaign?
You hit a home run with your Post #20.
Iran successfully and stably spun up 3,000+ centrifuges in the Natanz cascade about a month ago.
They’ll have enough fuel for one nuclear weapon, minimum, by October of 2008.
