I was thinking the same thing too, after your comment.
It depends on if the bridge clamshells / sail access is to a free flooding area, or if the area he is climbing into is actually dry, and closed off from sea by the hatch.
If it is dry, this tells me that the vaunted Iranian submarine pictured above doesnt have much of a dive depth.

Not of it’s own choice. Just because it’s under water does not mean that it’s a submarine.

“I’m not a naval architect, but isn’t that rear gun mount (a 5-inch ?) located way too close to the stern ? “
Well, you see, since IRAN has to pay for their refined petroleum products, they were short of cash to pay for all the extras on this ‘frigate’.
So, it doesn’t have a rudder. You turn the ship by aiming the rear cannon and firing away.

“The frigate was completed and entered service in 2006, bringing Irans frigate arsenal from 3 to 4. “
Hmmm. 5 minutes for mcshot; 60 minutes for MNJohnnie. How about we just make the pool for the entire navy? 4 friggers and a sub?

Looks more like a version of a Saam class corvette. Nothing that an F/A-18 armed with Harpoons (or even Mavericks) can’t handle.

Front may more likely be a 76mm or 100mm. Rear turret I think is no more than a 57mm.

There’s going to be great fishing in the Persian Gulf with these additions to the artificial reef.
