Food lines in Venezuela (Pics)
NoticieroDigital.com (Spanish language) ^ | 11/24/2007

Posted on 11/24/2007 11:27:51 AM PST by cll

Caption says: "This was today, at Urbina's main street. First time I see anything like this. The line stretched for four blocks. Those present told me they had been standing there since 5:00 AM. They had to wait an average of five hours to get their food rations, among which the most coveted was milk."

There have been reports of milk and milk product shortages for over a month.

More pictures at link. NoticieroDigital.com is sort of a Venezuelan FreeRepublic, except that they allow posts from moonbats, which at times make for great fun. Comments are in Spanish.

Eight days before the final communist takeover, unless our neighbors get off their butts and vote ¿por qué NO te callas?!

Gracias, Jimmy!

It's mindboggling libs still don't get it depsite readily available evidence.

I was conversing with a liberal gal who says it's impossible to be a christian conservative as Jesus christ would surely be more giving. How in the world can you even have a discussion with a mindset based on feelings and not results?

1. So what is a typical leftist post on this thread? I see the first on is "today milk, tomorrow meat".

2. The people in line don't look particularly poor.

3. Why don't we have naked-chick avatars on FR?

Yes, but socialism is about taking from one to give to another. The taker gets the credit, not the giver. In Christianity the giver gets the credit and gives willingly rather than begrudgingly. Socialism is an evil perversion of compassion.

From 02/16/07:

Rep. Connie Mack, R-Fla., fired off a letter to [former Rep. Joseph] Kennedy this week accusing him of working with "a sworn enemy of the United States" and betraying the legacy of President John F. Kennedy, his uncle, who spoke of the perils of communism..."Hugo Chavez is providing your company `low-cost heating oil' not to help the American people, but rather to exploit his apologists in the name of public relations. Sadly, you have chosen to actively participate in his charade," Mack wrote.

Maybe Kennedy and his Hollywood buddies can donate some "low cost food" to help the Venezuelan people.

The leftists and the poor adore Chávez. Even so, some say they will vote NO in the referendum. Others just spew the usual marxist mumbo-jumbo. They're immediately pounced on by the moderates.

Without getting yourself in trouble, can you tell us what the morale is like in Venezuela? Is the country now a police state? Is it true that there is no meat available for consumption?

Destroy her emotionally. She is a a despicable Democrat. She hates the military. She has the blood of American soldiers on her very own hands. She supports The NEA that has destroyed the schools.

She personally is responsible for the lunatics leading the congress and doing their dead level best to lose the war and kill Americans like was done in Vietnam.

I didn't see this before I sent the previous post to you but in spite of the fact there is less available choices and longer lines -- the leftists and poor folks STILL believe in Chavez? No chinks in the armor yet? Is the police arresting dissidents and anyone else who said something careless yet?

“Is the police arresting dissidents and anyone else who said something careless yet?”

Students have organized protests on the right side of the argument, and they have been attacked by government or other pro-Chavez thugs, even with firearms.

The situation is very difficult. Polls on the referendum remain split. Today at a rally, not-so-thinly-veiled suggested that if he loses the referendum, he will impose his will anyway.
