Riots break out for second night in Paris

By Megan Levy and agencies
Last Updated: 2:54am GMT 27/11/2007

Thirty police officers have been injured in a second night of violence between youths and officers in the flashpoint suburb of Villiers-le-Bel in Paris.

About 160 riot police came under attack in the notoriously crime-ridden district, 20 miles north of the centre of the French capital. The violence spread from Villiers-le-Bel to several other areas, police said.

Police said about 100 angry youths crouching behind rubbish bins hurled objects at riot police

The violence was sparked on Sunday by the deaths of two young boys, who were killed when their moped collided with a police car.

The boys who died were said by locals to be "aged between 12 and 13".

Police insisted that their car had not been chasing the boys when the crash occurred soon after dusk.

French officials had earlier attempted to quell mounting anger by launching a manslaughter investigation into the deaths.

Riots broke out soon after the tragedy, with Molotov cocktails being thrown and cars and plastic bins set on fire.

Tonight, police said about 100 angry youths crouching behind rubbish bins hurled objects at riot police, who responded by firing rubber bullets and teargas.

A pre-school, driving school and beauty salon were reportedly torched and 25 vehicles set ablaze in six districts in the Val d'Oise area. Witnesses said the rioters also stoned a police car and a fire engine, as well as looting another vehicle.

The violence has grim echoes of the disturbances which followed the electrocution of two youths in a sub-station as they fled police in the nearby suburb of Clichy-sous-Bois in late 2005. It directly led to two months of serious rioting across France, with a state of emergency being declared.

President Nicolas Sarkozy, who is in Beijing negotiating a trade deal, is facing the first serious test of his law and order credentials. He appealed for calm after the first night of unrest and for "all sides to calm down and for the judiciary to decide who bears responsibility".

These must be the world’s most mixed-up rioters.

Don’t they know that rioting is a summer sport? What’s with this winter stuff.....

I wonder what age is between 12 and 13. It doesn't sound in this case like the age of reason.

That’s why water cannons are indicated. The current temp in Paris is 34 degrees F. Added to a water stream at a few hundred psi and the “youts” will have a whole new series of sensations to deal with.

And I think the US will sit back and "let the UN handle it".

The Telegraph, in the UK, is it illegal to mention race in an article like this, in the UK? It just might, think that Sweden had something stupid like that. And everyone in Europe KNOWS who is doing it, which just adds to the outrage. At least the outrage showed up in the votes lately.

Actually that's part of my thinking (though that outcome is probably more than 10 years away).

Short-term: Europeans may decide to stage a St Bartholomew's Day massacre against the Muslims. Kristalnacht in several countries. I can see that within 10 years.

If that outcome does not happen, I believe Europe will become increasingly Islamified and at some point, the Muslims will begin killing Europeans in something like a systematic way.

I could be wrong, however, I do believe Murdock owns one of the largest British new outlets. This could explain the fear of calling them Muslims. Is it the UK Telegraph?

Its not race, it's religion. The UK as well as France (as I understand) have enacted religious defamation laws (meaning Islam) making it illegal to say anything bad about the various religions (meaning Islam) so I'm not surprised they don't mention any religions (meaning Islam) in their reporting.

The kick in the head is that the UK one was passed about a week after the 7/5 bombings.

Of course now, people just assume, and they get madder than they would if the paper told the truth. Guardian of what, Telegraph of what, Pravda of what? Certainly not, the truth.

The rub is that EVERYBODY knows whos being talked about, whether they say south-asians, or youths, or beurs or whatever fashionable monikers people come up with skirting their way around the truth.

Whether its Norway or Sweden, England, France or Germany, the people know that the unspoken truth is: Islam.

Yeah, rapes have always happened but vicious gang-rapes with mutilations and the like have only happened in the past 40 years since the influx of the yutes.

But lets not all assume that Euros have the same freedom of speech that we do. Though this stuff has been tried here and undoubtedly will again.

Yep.....those "youths".......age 15 and 16 per the BBC.

A state prosecutor has ordered the National Police General Inspectorate (IGPN) to carry out a detailed inquiry into the circumstances in which the two teenagers - named only as Moushin, 15, and Larami, 16, lost their lives.

1. Boxcars... -or-
2. Burqhas.

Which will it be?

Sean David Morton has been predicting riots in France in the January/February 2008 time frame. His expectations are driven by economic meltdown in France. This round of riots is just the usual muzzie outrage as a lame excuse to entertain themselves violently in the streets. Morton expects similar problem in Germany. The high value of the Euro compared to the USD is killing their exports.
