You are gullible. LMAO I just made that slogan up today. In reality, there is no such thing as a born again conservative and that is my point.

Mitt Romney is no conservative. Never has been, never will be. Romney is not not the genuine article. He's neither principled or authentic. He is a master at the use of political expediency to engage voters on issues which help to advance his liberal agenda. That makes Mitt Boy a phony conservative and a fraud.

It should be remembered that Iowa elected Democrat governor and Democrat legislature which have operated as sock puppets of the homosexual lobby.

“Huckabee spells disaster for the GOP. Can the Republicans be this stupid and vote for him?”

In a word, yes, because some candidates have been more vetted than others.
Huckster is a tax-and-spender who is gulling some folks with his FAIR Tax support. Problem is, its a big gimmick, he will never enact it. All we will get with Huck is nanny-statism.

“On size and scope of government issues, Huckabee makes George Bush sound like Ron Paul.”

Yup.

On crime (Dumond case), he’s a Dukakis with a southern twang.

“But what Fred supporters fail to realize is the amount of people being turned off from his campaign (on this site) because of unbelievably juvenile behavior will come back and bite them in the butt.”

The incessant Mitt-bashing from FredHeads for several months turned me off completely. They tarnish Fred himself with the behavior.
As of now, I’ll vote Romney if that’s needed to stop Rudy, or Hunter if I get a ‘free’ vote. Maybe Fred but I don’t think his campaign will make it to early March/TX primary.

Romney will go forward in NH, MI, SC and beyond whatever happens in Iowa.

There’s no magic recipe that says Romney needs Iowa but Rudy, McCain, Thompson dont.

Well early states do have relevance...how much is debatable, now.

It seems both parties are going to have unpredictable primaries.

Yup, the good candidates are getting tossed aside for the horribly liberal ones.

Ideology is not all that is required of a president. Competence is just as important.

Who among them would you say fits the bill for both ideology and competence? I don’t know about Huckabee’s competence so much but his record is like Giuliani’s. I’m more inclined to think Hunter or Thompson or even Tancredo are more than adequate to do the job.
