I'll be at Columbia University on December 5 at 7:00PM talking about my book, "The Great Media War: A Battlefield Report". My presentation is part of the "Friendly Fire Free Speech Series" sponsored by the Columbia Political Union. There will be a one-on-one discussion about my book, followed by a Q & A with the audience as well as a book signing at the conclusion of the program.

Yeah I noticed—I didn’t know who he was, and after reading the first comment I assumed he was a good guy, but after reading the next two I saw I was mistaken, which is why I said “ignore my last post.”

What’s with all the hate. I don’t like what the guy did but as long as he still calls Murtha out at a press conference, slams the lib press, and calls Helen Thomas what she is I got no problem. We all got people we have to deal with we don’t agree with. My sister-in-law married a guy from the green party. Man I hate that guy. My point is Columbia U. is not a free speech zone for the right. I’m glad anytime somebody can get up there and tell it like it should be. That school should carry a DNC logo.

He had WH press credentials. I read quite a few articles he had written prior to this. They were well written and I had/have no quarrel with his thoroughness or writing style.

It was you that made the supposition that he was a fake journalist. He was not.

Talon News wasn't established till 2004.

Talon News was established in April of 2003, at around the time of the start of the Iraq War.

You can use the Wayback machine and see that the earliest Talon News article with his byline is dated April 14, 2003.

You are correct, I read it was 2004. Regardless the time line was before he had ever written an article and used his highschool newspaper to get his press pass. Gannon said he began covering the White House in February 2003, at least a month before Talon News was created.
