???
Public displays of religious symbols used to be celebrated because they reflected the tolerance and free expression of faith that all American citizens enjoy under our Constitution. Now, if one person is "offended", even by the most innocent of symbols, all others must abandon their rights to free religious expression. This is insanity. I don't know where my country went, but I want it back.
I'm Jewish, by the way, and may I say: Merry Christmas!
Can we remove Jewish professors for causing disruptions to traditions at Christmas?
And I assume he has his own office somewhere on campus?....The Office of Diversity?....This is beyond ridiculous!
A diversity official? I guess that would be a branch of the fashion police. I hope they also issued a BOLO for menorah (menorii?). Of course, a student could make it really interesting and claim that there was Atheism on display everywhere; that the purge of all things religious was promoting Atheism, thus coming closer to violating the establishment clause than any other religious push in Constitutional history.
Of course it is, it’s my wife’s birthday.
Is this diversity official on the payroll?
What a wonderfully explicit phrase! I MUST add it to my Yiddish collection!..........
Merry Christmas Is NOT Offensive (Rabbi Daniel Lapin Urges Respect For Christian Holiday Alert)
It’s a tree, (anonymous) professor—not a creche/nativity scene.
Some people are way too `sensitive’.
I wonder if this d.o. wears a uniform?
There's your news.
Who was this nameless Jew..... he should be unmasked.
You know, back when I was in school in the 80s, we had a fairly large Jewish population in my district. When the holidays rolled around, we would put up Christmas trees, menorahs, and the winter concert would incorporate songs from both religions.
It was the best way to go, no one got offended and everyone got to participate.
What this professor is preaching is basic intolerance....how nice.
didnt ‘you people’ bury the k word?
Perhaps this Jewish professor could conduct classes for Jewish students on Christmas Day while everyone else takes the day off. After all, we wouldn’t want to offend them by forcing them to take Christmas Day off.
This has become absolutely ridiculous and I, in protest of the Godless “American” Holiday Season refuse to spend one damned dime on presents, decorations, meals or festivities of any kind between now and the end of the year. Let’s see how the Jewish, Muslim, and Secular merchants like that!
