Actually, the Bill of Rights does not “give” any rights to anyone. The Constitution, and in particular the Bill of Rights, serves to define and secure rights inherent in our humanity. The Declaration of Independence, the fundamental founding document of our Republic, identifies the source of those rights. The Constitution embodies the foundational principles of our government, the purpose of which is to protect and extend our rights.

The question seems framed wrong...

It is, the writer thinks all rights flow from government, rather than are protected by it. I guess he never read the Declartion of Indepdence, or for that matter the "preamble" to the Bill of Rights.

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.— That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed,

The conventions of a number of the States having at the time of their adopting the Constitution, expressed a desire, in order to prevent misconstruction or abuse of its powers, that further declaratory and restrictive clauses should be added.

Exactly.
The idiots don’t even know the constitution.
The 2d guarnatees that the right SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED by any government, it does not give anything.

It is unfortunate that so many are ignorant that rights come only from God, but what can you do, when they are 'educated' in govt. schools?

It is difficult to determine if you had a 'point' because none of your response relates to the subject at hand or my post. The same 'dumb laypeople voting' that you seem to so highly admire elected and reelected Bill Clinton. Enough said for common man (or woman) wisdom.

If you truly believe the 98% factor in subject poll has any relationship to reality or real people, I have genuine sympathy for your plight.
