There must be something really dreadful in his military records or he would have, as this author suggests, instantly have released them and called the public’s attention to them as soon as the Swifties fired their first shot. Interesting speculation in the article that the Swifties may have more ammunition than they’ve used to date.

As I recall, Bush released every document that he could when the commies were trying to besmirch his military service. Nothing to hide vs. the fake hero.

I wondered why Bush didn't have a barbeque at his ranch for Viet vets who had more valorous records than Kerry even claimed. Their name would have been legion. Every vet who had re-upped after having been awarded a Purple Heart, for example.Of course Bush wasn't running as a war hero, he was running as a sitting POTUS. But Kerry was running as a war hero, as if he had no record since Vietnam. And on face value there were thousands of men with more valorous records than that of Kerry. Oliver North being only one example.
