Yahoo Video. Click to watch. You won't be dissapointed. Jenna Bush appeared on the Ellen Degeneres show. Ellen asked Jenna how easy it was to call her dad, so they did. George W Bush shows what a great father he is and Jenna shows how much she respects her parents.
We saw this today and really enjoyed it. Jenna was so genuine and real. I just loved her.
Thanks for posting this. That was an excellent opportunity for folks to see that President & Mrs. Bush are great people and wonderful parents. Jenna didn’t get to be as sweet and smart as she is by accident.

Girls from the South...still call their father daddy. I’m 57 and still call my father daddy. I think he would be disappointed if I didn’t. I bet the last 7 years have been very rough on this family. I will be pleased when the nightmare is all over for them. They are all wonderful people and the MSM has hurt the office of the Presidency for all time with their antics.

I quite enjoyed that. The audience seemed to as well.
The comments on her site regarding the clip, though, are hysterical. There are people frothing at the mouth because Ellen DARED be cordial to the Bush family—that she didn’t start screaming at Jenna and denouncing the President as a war criminal when he got on the phone.
Pathetic. What will these people do when he is no longer President? If I were a puppy in any of those homes, I would be worried.
What was she doing on Ellen Degernerates show? Couldn’t she have gone on some other talk show with normal hosts?
That was sweet and Ellen and the audience was respectful.
Jenna shouldn’t be promoting the Homosexual agenda by going on this show.

Balch3, come on...give credit where credit is due. Ellen D is pretty well grounded (while I may not condone her lifestyle, this is America, and she is entitled to live the way she wants), and I rather like her. She has never been nasty, militant or angry.
That may be why Jenna appeared on her show. Now, if it were Rosie O...different story, different person.

Sure she did, she was just professional enough to recognize that it was a sweet moment that was out of her control and she went with it.
Ellen is the nicest host you could possibly go on. She would not have gotten that kind of respect on the View that is for sure. Ellen has a good heart. She just happens to be a lesbian. Big woop.

I don’t think she was trying to bait Jenna at all. Jenna said she can pick up the phone - so lets have some fun and pick up the phone and talk to “Daddy”. It seems to fit in with Ellen’s quick-witted humor and spontaneity.
It is so great to have Normal people in the WH. What a Great Dad.

That is a very personal opinion. On the other hand, I find Ellen a very likeable human being.
I'm the same way. She just entertains and doesn't let her politics (if she has any) get in the way of her show.
You know her personally? If not you have no idea what she’s like as a “human being.”

You "feel" it because it is true! And, you're right about "girls" in the South calling their fathers daddy. Most of us aren't offended about being called "girl" at any age, and most of us are proud to be "daddy's little girl" for as long as our daddies live - maybe even as long as we live. It doesn't diminish one bit our strength as women. It's an expression of devotion demonstrating that we never outgrow the special love and respect we have for our fathers, regardless of time and circumstance.

Our dog was the same way. Daughter still calls my husband daddy, and still calls me mommy, most of the time, when she is speaking to me. She calls me mother, most of the time, when she speaks about me to others outside of the family. It is, as you say, a term of endearment.
