That is government action, screwing things up for the rest of us yet again. Private patent-holders do not cause this, except when they engage in rent-seeking activities. If government weren’t so determined to be corrupt, the patent-holders couldn’t do a damned thing to us.

There are a large number of NAIS threads right here at FR that shows there is conflict of interest between law makers and patent holders.

But since lawmakers have the power to force people to do things they might not otherwise do, it is they who bear the primary responsibility to avoid corruption. They should tell the rent-seeking lobbyists to go pound sand.

Wait! It say's nothing about Kangaroo urine and the ammonia contamination being caused
to the newly discovered "engomado regatear cojo hierba" that was thought
to be extinct and is now growing all over the world one sprout at a time.
Urinating is causing Global Warming too! We must stop urinating on the planet!

The Aussies have been surprising me lately.
First, they decided not to go with Kyoto,
and now this. ;o)

I’m sure it’s only a matter of time before Dannon makes a special yogurt with these live cultures.
