I can’t imagine being a member of any other denomination. But I certainly welcome others to come see the error of their ways.
Democrats? I thought we were talking about Republicans.....and Christians? LOL
I was simply pointing out that Democrats comprise 50% of the voters. Christians probably comprise 70-80% or more of the voters. And you are tasking me for thinking that the electorate is stupid?
Do your part, then: to correct the trade deficit, purchase foreign assets. It’s easiest to do this through a mutual fund...that is if you can actually stomach the fact that you’d be providing capital to someone who probably does not look like you.
Do you EVER joke around? If not the Dems will drive ya batty.
I am : )
“Not sure if you realize this, but we Catholics are saved through baptism.”
So how did Abraham get saved?
Baptism referred to in the Bible as saving Baptism is not carnal Baptism but an answer in good conscious toward God. Notice here in 1 Peter it’s a spiritual Baptism not physical.
1Pe 3:20-22 Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water. The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ: Who is gone into heaven, and is on the right hand of God; angels and authorities and powers being made subject unto him.
Belief (or spiritual Baptism) always comes before physical Baptism.
Act 8:36-38 And as they went on their way, they came unto a certain water: and the eunuch said, See, [here is] water; what doth hinder me to be baptized? And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. And he commanded the chariot to stand still: and they went down both into the water, both Philip and the eunuch; and he baptized him. And when they were come up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught away Philip, that the eunuch saw him no more: and he went on his way rejoicing.
This passage also shows baptism is by immersion’s.
Inspiring.
