From each, according to his assets - to all, according to their needs.

258 vs about 150 owners.
Build the fence on government land and on the land of the willing owners. At least the leaks will be easier to patrol, the farmers will have time to see the consequences.

But for pity’s sake, don’t pull the leftists’ tactic of waiting until there’s a “consensus.”

No prob...

It really doesn’t surprise me much about any of this...

If there was any way to screw the issue of illegal immigration, border crossings and trhe human trafficking and drug traffic as well...

The Department of Homeland Security sure did go out of its way to find a way...

In fact, the specific plans called for building the fence directly through the campus of the University of Texas at Brownsville. It would separate one half from the other. The idea was to build it on the levee, rather than at the river, where the soil was too unstable. Thus, you’d have faculty members needing a passport to get from their offices to their classrooms. Not a lot of foresight there.

I think there is more foresight than you think. It would not surprise me if somebody in this administration wanted to make things difficult, to generate resistance to a fence.
