Whatever... better late, than never. NBC is exposed, and the good message gets out anyway. win-win!

Can’t wait to hear the peacock’s spin on this thing, after making this abrupt about-face.

Not that it is a surprise at all.
But NBC showed it’s true colors once again.
And they were ugly.
They had to be shamed into running the ad.
I can’t believe they didn’t think people would not be outraged.
To: abb
Their original decision to ban an ad, at Christmas, thanking Americans overseas for protecting us was crazy to begin with.
Only complete and total Bush and America haters could have done it in the first place.
NBC has outed itself.

"This just in" just a little too late. I already switched an order for GE electric motors over to Dayton electric motors.
Maybe they can recoup the loss by firing the idiot who caused me to switch suppliers.

Whatever you think of OReilly, he gets kudos for blasting NBC and the NY Times and others. He helped tear them a new one on this story.
To: abb
NBC probably caved into pressure from the blog storm of outraged conservatives.

I’m migrating away from GE as well. As a longtime GE appliance customer, I’m now buying Kitchen Aid as my appliances begin to need replacement.

Policies are made to be broken.
Even half-baked policies at NBC.
To: abb
As I said yesterday, NBC had created a precedent where any site deemed "too political" could be shut out. This meant that they would not be able to run ads (if they honored the aforementioned new standard) for moveon.org, media matters, etc. This, in hindsight, is too much of a cost to NBC's leftist advocacy.
So now they have reportedly backed down. This allows NBC to run moveon.org ads unfettered which is fine as long as conservative sites, groups can do the same. We exposed them so the genie is out of the bag. This is a win-win.

I doubt that they thought there would be much notice of their decision. It isn’t often that one network talks about what another network, their competitor, is or isn’t doing. This morning on Fox News, they debated this, showed the ad, read e-mails about NBC’s decision - did everything but give out the phone # of the Chairman of G. E., the parent co. of NBC, and tell their viewers to raise heck with him.

I guess the bastards at NBC are too stupid to realize the damage to their image has already gone beyond repair by this reversal..
Once again - they’ve shown themselves as biased, vindictive and America hating sonsuvbitches...

This would not happen if web sites like Free Republic did not exist. The power to change is reaching a tipping point. More family movies, better understanding of values in our history etc. etc. these things have been ground out by our media and the illuminati, but are slowly coming back because of the work of thousands of people and the supprot they get via the web.

One can only imagine the wrath the diseased maggot infected mediots in charge of NBC got with their anti military decision. Reversing the decision on a Saturday is something else.
Guess what PRAVDABCNNBCBS, you can’t get by with your old anti America BS anymore.

My Liberal sister was visiting our home last year because my wife and I were caring for my elderly mom. Sis asked my wife how to tune in the "Today Show".
My wife told sis she had no idea what channel on the satellite it was on, because we don't watch the alphabet channels. My Liberal sister looked at us like we were from outer space. I almost fell on the floor laughing.
To: Stentor
I think Jeffrey had his word a little too late in my case. GE is going to have to make a strong and compelling case to get any of my discretionary business back. They really pissed me off, and some high level heads need to roll to get their cataloqe back on my desk.

Well .. we should be able to believe by now that the MSM has become the “drive-by media” and they are sinking like a lead stone.
They are liberals and THEY DON’T SUPPORT THE TROOPS. It’s that simple.
