This is pathetic. A man is clearly attacked and yet all the police officers in this case decide to do is threaten to arrest the victim? I too would consider legal action... Especially with video evidence.

It would appear from watching the video that the man was still threatening bodily harm in the presence of the officers. I certainly hope the city attorney referred to presses charges against the attacker with the “club”. That guy was clearly out of control...

Well, there you have it. No one has supervised the ACLU, and so it is still in its rebellious adolescent phase, if not still in the “terrible twos,” even though it is physically much older.

At least, that’s what struck me when I read your comment. Somehow rings true, now that I think about it. A number of people who are way too young for hippiedom throwbacks fit that profile when you talk to them—still just angry with their parents. /irony

IMHO, the ACLU was “brought up” (in the sense you mean) by the reds and fellow travelers of the 20’s and 30’s. It’s kind of the last refuge for down-with-America legal types who are too craven to admit being outright traitors and crave a veneer of legality.

Happens all the time....conservatives believe in 'law and order' and the system being our friend. IT IS NOT.

For the scripture junkies in this thread, I thought I’d provide the following from my handle:

Interesting thoughts to consider. When George Washington was inaugerated he took the oath of office with his hand placed on Deuteronomy 28, which begins like this:

A list of blessings for obeying God follow. How far have we fallen from the moral guidance we used to establish this nation? And at what cost?

I copied you on the reply to wagglebee, because you seemed sympathetic to Holman. I didn't mean to come off as "politically correct." This was a toss up for me - while the policeman was way off base here - the victim was someone I would like to take a stick to.
