Of course the visit would not merit mention in the American press that loves both Fascist Muslims and illegal Hispanics above all else. Nor would it merit mention from the White House where Bush waits for instructions from Mexico City to make American policy regarding illegal immigration.

Jerome Corsi can be a little bit out there. Not saying he's wrong here, but still.

...to discuss deepening cultural bonds with the Islamic world in the face of Western notions of a "clash of civilizations."

Suggestion Mr. Khatami: If Ahmanutjob gets rid of his nukes the world will be a lot safer, and if Islam weren't so damn intolerant, there wouldn't be a "clash of civilizations."

Khatami and his VP Abtahi were part of the Reformist party, which tried to improve ties with the US. Compared to Ahmadinejad he may be more moderate, but that doesn't mean he should be trusted.

1/2009 won’t come soon enough for me.

We can only hope the Gelding Old Party’s candidate gets elected POTUS and whoever it is; he has the stones and conviction for the what must be done.
