These global warming alarmists are hell bent on actually changing the
climate. In their arrogance they presume they know how to do that
and how to do it safely.

Recently, Glenn Beck's TV show was an interview of Beck by Anderson
Cooper.
IIRC, on the topic of global warming, Beck mentioned that during
the "Global Cooling" warnings a couple of decades back, there
had been proposals to spread black particles (coal dust) on
the ice-packs of the planet in order to diminish the "inevitable"
plague of global cooling.

Beck's real home-run was something like this,
"If there's global warming now...
Thank G-d we didn't follow the 'expert's' advice 30 years ago!"

The biggest global emitters of methane are cattle, wetlands in Russia and Canada and rice paddies,

Let's see, rice and cattle are a major source of food in parts of the world, here in US we protect by litigation the wetlands, even puddles that form in our backyards.

Instead of unleashing a new odd bacteria on the frail, dying Gaia (rolling eyes) let's just get rid of the cattle, plow over the rice paddies and pave the wetlands

Problem solved: a large part of the world dies of starvation and Gaia lives, but the evirowackos have plenty of pavement to play basketball on

Methane-gas-gobbling micro-organism

CH4 + 2O2 -> CO2 + 2H2O

I see, this is good carbon dioxide!

I am working on another project to take care of the last two parts of your equation.

My organism is going to look something like this:

I'm going to call it a....tree.

Where do we find global warmers to buy our carbon credits?

An odd new species of bacteria discovered in one of the most extreme environments on Earth could be a new tool in the fight against global warming.

Back in the day, I was told to fight bacteria. I usually use Irish Spring. Won't the Bali meetings guarantee that something will prevent bacterial infestation in the coming millennium?

Bacteria. Humans. Bacteria. Humans.

Must be a difficult decision - no?

METHANE is a great energy source.

It would be better for find a way to collect METHANE and convert in HYDROGEN. CO2 (Carbon Dioxide) can be handled by use of our underground storage...

But hydrogen based cars, etc., produce water... So it is the way of the future.

METHANE, via conversion into CO2 and H2 molecules (steam methane reformation) can produce hydrogen. It has the added benefit of producing heat, which can be used in the production of electricity and de-salination of water.

Makes sense to environmentalists to finds ways of destroying possible energy sources rather than using them to meet our energy needs.

DUM AND DUMBER...
