Paul Morrison/Phill Kline Ping!
This is a much more detailed account than the two articles I posted earlier about this story. If there’s sufficient interest, I may start a temporary Paul Morrison/Phill Kline ping list. Let me know if you’d like to join.
1. Corruption
2. Sexual harrassment
3. Obstruction of justice
Probably a liar, too. Goes without saying...
Count me in. My liberal sis lives in Kansas...so I’ll need to keep her appraised of the situation with “her guys”...
Maybe I missed it in this endless article, but there was no mention of party affiliation.
This means only only thing.
100% democrat party with the mandatory media cover-up.
I like to think I could live with myself, somehow.
Damn, I love a good sex scandal!
Well, I read half the article and didn’t see party affiliation mentioned so I assume Dem? the only clue was that he beat the Republican incumbent.
Sign me up!
I could tell a funny story here, but I won’t.
. . . waving the corpse of a dead baby outside the clinic run by his best friend and most generous campaign donor, George "Killer" Tiller.
You guessed right, but there’s a lot more to it than that. Morrison was the Republican DA of Johnson County, until he switched parties in order to run for attorney general against his political enemy, incumbent Republican AG Phill Kline. Morrison beat Kline for AG, but Kline wound up in Morrison’s old job, Johnson County DA. How that happened is a long story, but the feud between the two has been very bitter and public.
I believe Kline is the Republican DA who was about to charge George Tiller, who specializes in late-term abortions, for all sorts of illegal activities at his infamous abortuary.
But Tiller contributed a ton of money to Morrison’s campaign, which helped put him over the top.
A good example of a criminal buying a politician to avoid prosecution. Tiller’s activities included concealing statutory rape of minors and victimizing a young retarded girl, among other things.
This could turn into a big victory for the pro-life cause if that corrupt scum Morrison is forced out of office.
“He said they could just lie on the bed in their clothes and talk.”
What a pick up line. Leave it to a dem to come up with something as lame as that.
This: Senate Minority Leader Anthony Hensley, D-Topeka, said it was difficult to know how to react without details of the situation. There could be fallout for the Democratic Party, he said, but the situation reflects the actions of a single individual rather than the thousands of people making up the party.
versus this:
Christian Morgan, executive director of the Kansas Republican Party, said Morrison's affair with Carter raised profound ethical issues that went beyond partisan politics.
For those familiar with Kansas, it's probably obvious that Morrison is a Dem. But if not, one has to read fairly far down to find out that Morrison is a Dem. I can't help but think, as in the case of Sen Craig, if he were a Repub, it would be in the title and scattered 'liberally' throughout. Hensley's glossing over is fairly typical of what I'd expect a Dem to say. *eyeroll*
"The special prosecutor assigned to legally pursue notorious abortionist George Tiller accused of performing illegal late-term abortions on girls as young as 10 has been fired, but critics are calling the termination pay-back politics....[snip]....
"..Morrison's campaign received no contributions from Tiller or the political action committee he supports, called ProKanDo.
However, a group called Kansas for Consumer Privacy Protection was active in the campaign, and it held the same address as ProKanDo, according to the newspaper.
Also, Morrison during his campaign had told the Lawrence Journal-World that he thought state money was being used for "misplaced priorities" in an investigation of abortion business practices in the state and he would instead use that to start a domestic violence unit.
He also got a huge boost in his campaign when a non-profit organization that the newspaper linked to Tiller mailed hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of mailings critical of Kline.
The mailings called Kline "Snoop Dog" and were mailed by Kansans for Consumer Privacy Protection, said the newspaper, which noted that group had the same office address as ProKanDo, a political action committee Tiller started and is funding to elect pro-abortion candidates.
A constitutional law professor, Kris Kobach, had told Fox News earlier that "Kansas law is perfectly clear that says the attorney [general], if he finds probable cause, can bring a criminal complaint of this nature." .."
Sexual encounters followed in Kansas, Missouri, Arkansas and New York, Carter's statement said. The roster includes the Sheraton Hotel in Overland Park in October 2005; the Muhlbach Hotel in Kansas City, Mo., in February 2006; the Holiday Inn in Salina, Days Inn Metropolitan in New York City and the Hyatt Hotel in Wichita in June 2006; and the Capital Plaza Hotel in Topeka in December 2006.
Morrison rarely spent the night and never paid for the room. Carter signed for the rooms and paid cash.
followed by the quote that "in spring 2006 (many months later), Morrison told Carter that he loved her!" [Dumpkopf -- don't you know it's supposed to be the other way around?]
Gee, when I was 14 years old that line sounded subtle and finessed.
In addition, it had the advantage of deniable plausiblilty.
This is great since he’s been going after Kline. BTW, is there anyone in the KC area that can’t get Fox News? It has said, “No Signal” for some time now.
Morrison isn’t at the bottom of the barrel. He’s what you find squirming around in the slime below the barrel when you lift it up and look underneath.
