Stalemate at Bali talks on emissions cuts (take the global warming test)

Stalemate at Bali talks on emissions cuts

U.S. and European delegates to the Bali conference on climate change remained deadlocked Tuesday on specific targets on emissions cuts.

A draft plan put forward by the United Nations, backed by the European Union and some developing countries, calls for talks in the next two years based on 25 to 40 percent cuts below 1990 levels, The New York Times reported. The United States refused to drop its position that India and China also must take steps to cut emissions before targets can be set and some other countries, such as Japan, were moving toward that position.

E.U. negotiators cited the recent report by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, which warned of mass extinctions and rising sea levels unless immediate steps are taken.

Logic requires that we listen to the science, said E.U. Environment Commissioner Stavros Dimas. I would expect others to follow that logic.

Harlan Watson, the chief U.S. negotiator, said starting with some set of numbers is unreasonable.

I only missed question seven:

“Carbon dioxide from coal-fired power plants damages forests.”

I think their answer is debatable. Not enough information. Yes, CO2 is good for the forest but acid rain is not. Clean coal fired power plants are okay, but I guarantee that Chinese coal fired plants for example are damaging the forests along with every other living thing.

Harlan Watson, the chief U.S. negotiator

Harlan baby! Grow a pair and just shout that the emperor has no clothes!

The hard core commie/socialists that are using this huge fraud to back door socialism are at least rational but the IDIOTS who actually believe in global warming are just that.

It’s the sulfur from the burning of coal, it combines with water vapor in the atmosphere to form sulfuric acid: acid rain.

Funny that in that last question, the picture shows Gore’s chart long before it shows the present levels of CO2 in the atmosphere and the projected levels if humans continue along the same path.

Logic requires that we listen to the science, said E.U. Environment Commissioner Stavros Dimas. I would expect others to follow that logic.

Actually, the logic of this conference is to assiduously AVOID the science at all costs.

Otherwise, why is not the centerpiece of the conference the peer reviwed paper recently published in December International Journal of Climatology, entitled "A Comparison of Tropical Temperature Trends with Model Predictions": here is one thing they had to say:

"The observed pattern of warming, comparing surface and atmospheric temperature trends, does not show the characteristic fingerprint associated with greenhouse warming. The inescapable conclusion is that the human contribution is not significant and that observed increases in carbon dioxide and othe greenhouse gasses make only a negligible contribution to climate warming."

Let me answer my own question: the entire edifice of anthropogenic global warming is a teetering pile of poo, and NOBODY like to admit that they have been dedicated their careers to teetering pile of poo. They MUST continue with the fiction: their careers depend on it.

I wish these so-called scientists in the UN Interplanetary Panel would become extinct themselves.

The last question doesn’t match the answers. the question was which method measures temperatures best, while the answers all referred to a chart which was non existent on the question page. WTF? Good otherwise.
