Here's who voted nay:
Ackerman Clarke DeGette Hastings (FL) Lee McDermott Scott (VA) Stark Woolsey
We’re living in bizarro world.
Do you know the name of the Republican that voted “Present”?
Maybe he meant, “I want a Christmas present!”
I’m very relieved. Christianity does exist and so does Christmas. But for our legislators, we might never have known.
Why do we light up the Empire State Building with green light to honor Ramadan without hesitation, but it needs to be brought to a vote whether to even RECOGNIZE Christmas??? We’re voting on whether to recognize the Christian faith and its followers?? This sounds vaguely Shariah-esque...almost as if we were to be declared in a state of dhimmitude were it decided that Christianity was not an acceptable faith.
Pence
Christianity will outlive America - I just don’t know where.
If I were king....
‘He also indicates he is pleased that Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi did not try to stop a vote on the bill.’
Pelosi is reading the poll numbers as well.
It’s as though satan’s gaggle has taken over every institution in our nation.
You’re kidding!!! Pence! No you’re not kidding are you. Sheeesh! Wonder his reasoning?
Why is that the atheist and the anti-Christian bigots expect to take Sundays, Christmas, and Easter off work?. Why not just make it another work day for this group?

China and Africa are probably the more likely spots. It may not show now, but there are huge revivals going on in both places.
Cause we like days off as much as the next guy!
Anyway, Christmas is my favorite holiday...the sharing of gifts, the unrepentant capitalism, good stuff. I would have obtained from this vote however, It’s simply not the power of Congress to pass resolutions like this. No it doesn’t hurt anyone or waste the taxpayers money (for once!) but I’m a strict constructionist, if it ain’t in the Constitution the Congress shouldn’t be doing it.
Paging Christian Rage-Boy.
What kills me about this is when they started that session they opened with a prayer before they had any debate. Remember these are the same people who don’t want anything Christian in our schools anywhere they have any control! Our children are not to say the pledge because it contains in God we trust I would call that what it is pure B.S.
Our forefathers came from a country where the church was more concerened with ruling instead of preaching that is why the “seperation of church and state” and that alone.
There is a websight “thomas.com” that is a congressional record of everything that transpires in our congress, including opening prayers bill content who voted and how and all arguments it is all public record. Does make interesting reading at times.
