I don’t see change happening. Colleges are run by liberals; promoters of the sex positive agenda. The results have been high out of wedlock birth rates, single mothers, welfare, crime, 1.3 million abortions per year, an increase in STDs, etc. A society with problems needs more government intervention, and in step the liberals. This country will need a religious revival and/or pervasive change in attitude for a change. I don’t see it happening. Look at the replies to this thread on FR alone.

Most parents are either unaware of the "sex with anyone, at anytime, in any fashion, for any reason" culture pervading today's campuses, or they just don't want to know.

Hmph... it was worse when I was at college, back in the days before HIV and herpes. Today's kids are pretty good, actually.

I have to say that this sort of thing was going on in England back in 1981, when I was at college in London. No strings shagging 'relationships' were fairly common.

Looks like nothing much has changed and college students are the same the world over!

The children who grew up in the Clinton era have come of age. Their whole lives they were instructed that oral sex was not “sex”.

What my children learned was: If the name Bill Clinton occurs on the car radio, the volume is immediately turned off.

Thats a load of crap. Does casual sex happen at college? Yes. It also happens before and after college. Is it accepted? Again yes, Sex and the City anyone? Does it occur in any semblence to what's described here, NOPE.

I cancelled the cable TV when the Clinton special prosecutor's report hit the news.

It’s astonishing. Almost as astonishing as the amounts of money people pay for this “education.”

Colleges are actively promoting the sexual license desired by radical atheistic secular leftist materialism.

University in this case has a zero tolerance policy too... However, they started to wise up to the fact that the young women can cause their own problems. They've got it on tape in both cases.

In a lot of ways the society we live in has made young women irresponsible with quick fixes like abortion. Thing is that too isn't a quick fix with the psychological effect it has on the woman/teen.

“Sure wasn’t that way at my college.

As usual, things are way exaggerated.”

Sounds just like the arguments drug dealers make, ‘go ahead everyones doing it’.

“In a lot of ways the society we live in has made young women irresponsible with quick fixes like abortion. “

I think its more about giving women higher status and rights than men. After all men are dirty rotten scoundrels according to the feminist movement.

I don’t feel much sympathy for “psychologists” who are afraid to tell the truth and submit to PC instead.

I remember that in the late 1950s, a man down the street stayed up late at night in order to see the bra commercials on TV. hyunh..hyunh..hyunh...He should have subscribed to the Sears catalogue, like Grandpa did.

Believe it or not, such expressions – the embodiment of common sense to just about every parent on earth – represent rank heresy in Dr. Grossman's profession. You're expected to hand out condoms and push "safe sex" (or "safer sex") on students at every turn, but never, ever "pass judgment" on any behavior. One should encourage "experimentation" and downplay any moral and religious concerns as the undesirable traits of a "patriarchal" society.

Boomers, go figure. It's still 1969, everyone is wild and free, and, in the words of Austin Powers, "as long as people are still having premarital sex with many anonymous partners while at the same time experimenting with mind-expanding drugs in a consequence-free environment, I'll be as sound as a pound."
