Dumond case revisited - A reminder of Huckabee's role in his freedom

Mike Huckabee, whose rise in the polls hadn't been matched by a surge in his campaign apparatus, is about to get some major help on that front.
The HiIl and CNN are reporting on their websites today that Ed Rollins, the mastermind of Ronald Reagan's 1984 landslide reelection and of Ross Perot's independent bid in 1992, will sign on as Huckabee's national campaign chairman.
The move is expected to be announced at a press conference this afternoon in Concord, N.H.
Rollins, a veteran Republican strategist, told CNN that he has been out of the game, but became more and more impressed with Huckabee and decided to make this his last campaign. Huckabee has overtaken Mitt Romney in the polls in Iowa and has surged to second in national polls behind Rudy Giuliani.
"The struggle now is to take it beyond Iowa and go nationally, and what you have is a growing candidacy, and I think I can help," Rollins told CNN.

His calim to fame was Reagan’s re-election. Reagan could have had a turnip for campaign manager and still crushed Mondale.
Rollins took the only job offer available.
And Huckabee took the only ‘name’ willing to sign on.
A match made in political mediocrity ‘heaven’ if ever there was one.
Then Huck’s Campaign Theme Song would be “Liar.”

The Chamber of Commerce must be behind Huckabee, since he is the candidate of continuing illegal slave labor.
So he helped a Clinton get elected. Is he looking to repeat that?
