Do you think a Romney/Thompson ticket might be likely?

The Republican nomination process is far from settled even yet. So what if Mike Huckabee DOES stumble, and end up as an asterisk in a Trivia game? Or conversely, he somehow DOES manage to go to the Republican National Convention next summer, as a real contender?

Stranger things have happened. This is not global warming, folks, in which we are all doomed. Think of the worst, the very WORST, person who has ever served as President. Then consider, that by the grace of God, we are still here.

Huck and Bill come from the same town, both becoming governor of the state around the same time and now he runs for President while Bills wife runs for the other side?

While ex-Clinton confidant - the toe sucker, advises Huck.

Reminds me of when Perot got into the race in '92 from out of nowhere and managed to pull in just enough conservatives to get Clinton elected with 42% of the vote.

“Does anyone think that in Arkansas these guys don’t know each other very well? How does Huck and Bill come from the same town, both becoming governor of the state around the same time and now he runs for President while Bills wife runs for the other side?”

Actually, Bill Clinton grew up in Hot Springs. He was born in Hope but moved to Hot Springs. It sounds better being from Hope especially when Hot Springs was the gambling, drinking, mafia related capital of the south.

I don’t think Huckabee will get passed the 4th primary.

I’m hoping that Obama is still viable by then!

...just to keep Hillary as far from the White House as possible.

Below, my Blog post about Huckabee’s problem should the ladies at the beauty parlor learn about Huck’s history of setting murderers and rapists loose.

If we choose Huckabee, we deserve to lose. The man is a disgrace. On illegal immigration, his record is indistinguishable from Dick Durbin’s.

the only qualifications necessary are to be above age 35 and to have been born in the U.S.

Yep. I just wrote fast, but should have said, "what in the author's mind qualifies...?"

Lowry’s exactly right on this one....Huck is the current media darling who’ll go down in flames after the first of the year and Americans start paying attention to the candidates.

Ain’t gonna happen.

The only disagreement I might have with the author is, "...manifestly unqualified to be President..." What qualifies one?

I hate Huckabee, but you are right. The only person "manifestly unqualified" this cycle is Obama al-Husseini.

The other thing that bothers me is that he is so wacked out and spaced out that he fits identically the stereotype that the MSM has of conservative Christians. He’s like a Colbert parody, meant to discredit social conservatives.

He must be a Rat Sleeper, because he’s too much of a negative parody of Christianity and Conservatives. He’s a walking cartoon character!

He’s like watching an episode of “Family Guy”.

Yep. Glenn Beck said today that polling is showing Huck only gets 25% of the non-evangelical vote. That’s not enough to elect a dog-catcher in Cleveland.

I am also baptist and wonder why you refer to other Baptist who might support Huckabee in such an ugly way...worthy of the best liberal media slurs...the insinuation is that if others disagree with you they are fools, idiots, and dunces...it is unworthy behavior.

Wow, what an overreaction.

I am a Wesleyan Methodist, and I am also praying that God will keep Huckabee, as well as Rudy, from the nomination.

Do you want to make the same accusation to me?

She must not care about the “magic underwear”.

I haven't heard about this magic underwear thing. Back when I was single I had lucky shorts - same thing?
