Lieberman to Endorse McCain

"THE WEEKLY STANDARD has learned that Sen. Joe Lieberman, the 2000 Democratic vice-presidential nominee, will endorse Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) for president tomorrow. The two will appear together at a press conference Monday morning in New Hampshire, weather permitting."

Very interesting. Unlike many people here, I think McCain will make an excellent President as do most of the Republican candidates.

I think that McCain would truly be the consensus candidate we have all claimed to want. His issues are not that far off from Fred, yet he has shown in head to heads that McCain is the most electable of the Republicans.

There is a consensus here about McCain but I wouldn't describe it that way.

I can understand this. McCain is the best republican the democrats have in their corner. The only thing missing in McCain's resume is that he caucus’ with the democrats, give him time.

I guess this is what the Boston Globe meant when it praised McCain’s bipartisanship. I wonder what the Globe’s op-ed on Lieberman will look like?
