It's been a rough day for Hillary. First, as noted here, she was drummed from pillar to post on ABC's "This Week." NewsBuster Noel Sheppard then detailed here how Chris Matthews' crew raked her over the coals. Now, completing Hillary's troika of tribulation, the CBS Evening News has gotten into the act.
The development being reported was ostensibly positive for Hillary: the Des Moines Register today endorsed her. If CBS had stopped there, it would have been a plus for the Clinton campaign. But unfortunately for Hillary, the Evening News decided to play clips of Clinton on the stump in Iowa.

I pray for the day when the democrat party realizes that the Clintons are a disaster for them. They are a disaster for the country, but the party doesn’t seem to care about that any longer. But they do care about themselves, and the Clintons do not do that party any favors.
Sorry Lucy, meant to ping you and thank you too!
I was listening to ABC (Radio) News on the way home, and it played that Hillary “grateful” clip. I remarked to myself that it sounded odd . . . I’ll bet they edited the pause.
.
Excellent potlatch!
Dog Days fer Hillaryland & Slick Willie’s dreams!
And that was before the real action started.....
but who was watching......
A Duncan!
It was difficult to slip that one in!
Merry Christmas!
Be sure to read the link of Hillary talking about the “Hawkeye State”, lol. She is sliding faster and faster.
It sure does seem that they’re all piling on together. Makes me suspicious. Is this a “strategery” or have they all grown weary of the Clinton cabal. I’m just not sure.
Could still be a staged part of the “horse race” mentality that is used to sell media.
H! needs stilts to offset herself’s own “stumps”.
Run for your lives!
for nothing is ..... always was ..... those were the two questions.... and heck I sure am not going to attempt to answer them.
Oh dang....the guy in the balcony .... Did you guys see what hit the stage.....Heck I'm just grateful he didn't use this to shoot me.....and I ain't for gun control....You say this is a gift.....? well heck....and Merry Christmas!
Why thank you....here take this off stage...and have Security make sure there no more of these out there!
Otherwise the space of the space in time? is going to be attempted to be covered....and that was before Hillary arrived....but be grateful everyone and the media will alternatively alternate their coverage....somebody might think .... and that will get one in trouble.....been there, and nobody read the whole thing....Security, Security, someone bag the guy with the rifle I haven't time to run off stage.....look at that ... everyone ducked!
The object of the last two weeks worth of stories is to make Hillary the underdog as she goes into final days before voting in Iowa and New Hampshire.
Winning primary elections is a function of the ground game of the candidates. Hillary has a fantastic ground game in both Iowa and New Hampshire. They have identified the Hillary supporters and will see to it they get to the polls and vote.
The Obama campaign at best has a very inferior ground game. Edwards has a much better ground game than Obama.. especially in Iowa. Thus it is necessary for HIllary to make Obama her chief rival for the nomination as the elections approach. If the voters don't think Edwards is in the game, they will not be as likely to vote. So Hillary needs Obama to be her main opponent and she needs the media to think that she is NOT going to come in a winner.
Then when she does win ... even if by a slight margin, she will be the invincible Hillary who cannot be defeated by the Great Obama. The other story will be Obama fails to live up to expectations.
After Hillary wins Iowa and New Hampshire the party officials in the next states with primaries will contact Obama and Edwards with a warning that they should withdraw. If they do not the local party organizations will put the party machinery to work getting out the Hillary vote. They will be told we need to win, and if either of you hope to have a future in the party you will drop out now.
In other words the local party organization will no longer be neutral. It will be working for Hillary. That means that Obama and Edwards if they stay in will not only face attacks by the media, but opposition by the Democratic party to reduce their vote turnouts to next to nothing. Major Democatic Donors to Obama and Edwards will be told to get on board the Hillary bandwagon or else.
Obama and Edwards will drop out early, and Hillary will be the nominee early on. Obama will live to run another day in 2012 or 2016.. as the loyal party member who stepped down to give Hillary her chance. He will, I predict, endorse Hillary and talk about how important it is to win the presidency this year... and that his time to lead the Democratic party will come in the future. And he will take the party leadership in the future with total Clinton support.
There has never been any danger that Hillary would not win the nomination. The object has been to make her victory seem a surpise, difficult to achieve, but well deserved. She will look like a winner that can overcome stiff odds.
People who believe that Hillary is in trouble don't understand the Clintons and their mastery of political campaigns.
Well thought out,but hard for me to believe.
