Gregory Grilling Gets to Hillary: 'No, Wait a Minute!'
NewsBusters ^

Hillary Clinton began her Today interview with David Gregory with the radiant smile on display here. But it wasn't long before an irate Clinton was demanding "no, wait a minute" when things didn't go to her liking.
That's what a few minutes of serious Gregory grilling did to Clinton this morning. It was by far the most intense -- dare-I-say aggressive -- examination of Clinton I've seen this campaign season.
Throughout, Hillary clung as if to a life preserver to the endorsement she received from the Des Moines Register, whose editor is that same mirthless Carolyn Washburn who moderated the past week's debates. Strict School Marms of the World, Unite!
But Gregory kicked off his questioning by discounting the endorsement's value and things went downhill from there. Add the rough ride Gregory gave Clinton to the battering she took yesterday as noted here, here and here, and it's hard to escape the conclusion that the MSM has had it with Hillary.

David Gregory is a dedicated Clintonista. If he is grilling Hillary, he is just obeying Clinton orders. They are trying to downgrade Hillary so Iowa and NH don’t hurt her too badly. She’s rebound on Super Tuesday and the media will all be talking about “The Comeback B17ch”.

She also said it was an “editorial.” An editorial is a supposition. That doesn’t make it true.

I doubt it. Gregory has been accused of being anti-Bush and it is likely an effort to show no bias.
The problem with the bounceback is that people in New Hampshire watch TV and can watch the Gregory interview.

I think a large percentage of democrats - like David Greggory - understand Hillary Clinton will lead them to a 45 state loss in November of 2008.
I have yet to meet a single Democrat thats going to vote for her, folks.

Whenever you hear Gregory doing an interview or asking questions at the WH, he is trying to make it all about him. I think he’s auditioning to be Russert’s replacement on Meet the Press.

Hillary is no longer receiving the fawning softball coverage. The perception she's a loser has worn the aura off her. This is a woman who has never lost an election yet. To be in second place is very disturbing to her. Hillary is just not comfortable with the political hothouse she's in.

Please, you are giving the Clinton's super natural powers if you believe a conspiracy on this grand a scale. What about the millions who watched and then will talk about the interview? Doesn’t that matter? Reducing expectations is one thing, destroying a candidacy doing it is quite another.

Oh My God, she completely dodges the questions... which is what the Clinton’s always do.. but the MSM is finally calling them on it???? Amazing...
No wonder the wheels are off this cart.
She is trying to campaign like her hubby, but doesn’t remotely have the personality or likability to pull it off.
To: aroundabout
Because this is exactly what I would do if I suspected I was going to have trouble in Iowa and NH. I would downplay my chances so that anything looked like a win. Then I would kick it into high gear for Super Tuesday when my 90% urban precinct work would kick in.

My christian upbringing makes it difficult to justify the feelings of shadenfruede I’m experiencing.
The “cackle”, a signal to Gregory to backoff or else, was back.
Only reason I can think Gregory to pressed Clinton is the top of the DNC authorized it. High powers are at work. Hillary has been tagged beatable in the general election and the DNC wants her taken down.
What she doesn’t realize is Bill Clinton himself is in agreement with the top DNC leadership and behind the take down.
If I am correct, expect a Bill Clinton windfall on the other side of her defeat. Her fury ignited at the realization, but powerless and forever bitterly married to him throughout immunity.
Could not happen to a nicer person.

Wow...after that love fest on Fox & Friends! Bill Kristol was on after Mrs. Clintons big diner appearance on Fox (complete with a very loud cackle)...the Friends did not dare challenge her on her little stump speech answers. Anyway, Bill says she is in BIG trouble if she had to appear on all the morning shows today.
