There must be a poll out suggesting that Iowa voters just don’t know the real Hillary Clinton. What else would explain the launch on Monday of TheHillaryIKnow.com, a Clinton campaign website featuring video testimonials from “regular Americans”?
Those “regular Americans” include her longtime friends and “well-known leaders” who talk about how their lives have been changed by the presidential hopeful.
The videos also include comments from the New York senator’s constituents, including a mother with a sick child who says Clinton “worked outside of the view of the media” when she helped her daughter get the medical attention she needed.
Clinton’s team says the videos serve as a “stark reminder” that the issues discussed in the campaign affect real people.
The website offers another reminder: that the Clinton campaign seems to be struggling to overcome the “likeability” factor. Her likeability, or lack thereof, still represents a big challenge for the former first lady, who is competing with Barack Obama and John Edwards for a win in Iowa on January 3.
Mark Penn, a top Clinton strategist and pollster, told USA Today it was important for people to understand the “depth” of Hillary. But Observer wonders whether depth is a trait you can sell on a website.

I was just reading a different thread on the "Softer Side of Hillary." If you go to the main article and read the comments that follow, a poster pushed this same story as a personal anecdote. Seems like a plant to me. Just more of Hillary manipulating the media.

In the audience was a woman with a child newly diagnosed with a rare and difficult, bad disease. She asked a staffer if Hillary might help. Late that night, at the end of a very long day, Hillary spent one-half hour with this woman, alone in her car, listening to her story. The next day the woman got a call from a doctor in Baltimore saying he would see the child — a visit arranged by Hillary Clinton. This is just ONE story. If readers want to know more, they should read her book and books about her and ask questions of her campaign people. Thank you for listening. Probably not related, but I was shopping at Wal Mart this weekend and noticed something interesting. They had Christmas cards available with political caricatures on them. The Hillary card had her heinous lying in bed smiling with a little White House dream bubble over her head. The inside of the card said, “I’m dreaming of a White House Christmas.” The George Bush card had the big eared, big nosed caricature of GWB on it, dressed as a shepherd, and the caption, “Why don’t I ever get to be a wise man?”
Nothing partisan about that.
How about a page with the reflections of Arkansas state troopers, Secret Service agents, and FBI agents who worked in close proximity to her? Then we’d have a more complete picture of the ‘real’ Hilde.
Or scared to talk!!
Contrast a site like this with one of people that know her but don’t like her/trust her/fear her. It should be massive and not too hard to compile.
