Ron PaulPots' MoveOn/GeorgeSoros Support!

Desperate to take support from wherever he can get it.

Some - well more like all of two readers have gotten a little cross-eyed over the fact that I dared to imply that George Soros/MoveOn forces were working covertly to assist the most Soros-like candidate on the GOP ticket.

The truth is some of the support has been covert, some of it rather obvious...

For instance one MoveOn group assisted in the funding and production of this television ad:

I had wondered about the possibility of MoveOn working in favor of Ron Paul. Good that it is finally being exposed.

I got hassled by a Paulite on another thread a few days ago for suggesting Soros might be in this somewhere. Good to see I was right, and the Paulite was wrong. Whoever is funding him, he’s creepy.

I knew the MO-rons were backing Ron Paul the minute I saw banners hanging from freeway overpasses all over Northern California in August. NO Republican activists would be that loony.

George Soros is using MoveOn.org to split up the Republican voters to get a weak nominee. In the general election he wants a repeat of what Ross Perot did and get Clinton elected.

If this revelation doesn’t ruin Paul for all time, then nothing short of Arkancide will.

Clintoon got 43% in 1992 and 49% in 1996 despite having Bob Dole implode and basically running unopposed in most states.

No democrat has won the White House with more than 50% of the vote since 1976. A long, long, long time.

At least this takes away money which would otherwise be going to just the Democrats. In a strange kind of way, this is a good thing because Ron Paul definitely won’t be getting the final GOP nod for President for ‘08.

You're exactly right. We're all being played.

Soros is hoping that by contributing to Paul ostracizing himself out of the GOP field, it will force him down a third-party road, and like it or not, that move will steal away some of the libertarian wing of the party's votes.

It wouldn't surprise me at this point to find Soros behind some of the spin between Romney vs. Huckabee over the last week. I don't think he'd restrict his meddling to a single candidate.

I think it is a shame some of Paul's statements lately have been spun out of control, but geez...Paul's got to know that saying things like the flag and cross comment in this day and age of politics is going to draw MAJOR ire. That brain mouth thing will be his downfall.

The original ending of the ad, which has been edited by the blogger, does not show where the money is really going to.

The video was made within hours and up on youtube after one of the republican debates. It directed the viewers to donate to three organizations including moveon.org. Wonder why that was edited out?

Moveon.org is trying to raise funds using Ron Paul’s name. The campaign is aware of this from the several emails they have received since the video went up. My guess is the video is at least two months old.

Moveon.org, according to filings has not donated to ANY presidential candidate so far in 08. NO MONEY TO PAUL, none from Soros.

People can believe what they want especially when they are not willing to check the facts.

Trust, but verify as Ronald Reagan would say.

Moveon.org is trying to raise funds using Ron Paul’s name.

And Dr. Paul has stated that he doesn't appreciate these wackos using his name, per his interview with Glen Beck.

But why let facts interrupt the wet dreams of the Paul haters? I think it's time for Paul to come out with a press conference completely denouncing all of this crap.

My understanding is the RP Campaign is looking into investigating moveon.org. This is not the first time moveon.org has falsely raised or attempted to raise money using someone else’s name or organization without their permission.

It does make for fun fodder.

Paul needs better campaign managers. He's a front-runner now, and clearly the staff he has now is out of their league. Jesse Benton & Kent Snyder should be out there with press conferences denouncing all of this crap.

It's really remarkable what's happening here, this race is very unprecedented that's for sure.

I AGREE!!

Kent Snyder appears to be a smart guy, but again, I know there are better guys out there. RP's supporters are what is getting the campaign dollars and getting the word out. Jesse is a rookie and I will leave it at that.

Paul has the funds now to get the leaders he needs.

Responding to all these ridicules claims does take him off his message. Watch the Cavuto interview if you haven't already. Paul does address a few of these issues.

Again, I agree with you. Looking forward to the continued positive changes for his campaign.

Our primary is six months out. In my rural area, we have a couple big Ron Paul signs (one is lighted) on a local north-south secondary highway. The local Meetups also work the big college football crowd at every home game. Again, it's unprecedented.

Never seen any signs before for any candidate, even the most popular in the state's history, this early.

BTW, if Ron Paul is going to break $20 million for his Q4 fundraising, FReepers need to chip in and help out. Now at $18.44M.

I don’t know why you call this a ‘hit piece’.

Did you see the url at the end of the video? Follow this link www.iraqcampaign.org. It actually takes you to this site: noniraqescalation.org. If you click on the about tab, you’ll find a listing of just about every ‘progressive’ organazation there is, including moveon, and almost all are recipients of Soros.

You should also click on the videos link. It takes you to this site: http://youtube.com/user/IraqSummer. Along the left side you’ll find this tidbit:

“Iraq Campaign is focused on causing the foundation of Republican support for the President’s Iraq strategy to collapse.”

It also includes this tidbit: “To achieve this goal, organizers and Iraq and Afghanistan veterans and military families across the country will create field operations,...”

Any wonder where some of those campaign donations from the ‘military’ are coming from?

There should be no doubt that these guys are supporting Ron Paul, not because of his campaign of ‘peace and freedom for all’, but to undermine support within the republican party.

You are correct that the Ron Paul campaign should react vigorously. A lot of us have been saying the same thing about other sites support Ron Paul only to brushed off with ‘their wasting their money’.

It should be clear that they are not ‘wasting their money’ since their intent is to disrupt the republican campaign.

This isn’t a campaign to capitalize on Ron Paul.

Moveon.org, according to filings has not donated to ANY presidential candidate so far in 08. NO MONEY TO PAUL, none from Soros.

Soros and Theresa Kerry used MoveOn and their other related organizations by paying their worthless employees big salaries to, among other things, max out on donations to Kerry and other Dim candidates in 2004.

There is no pattern of this in donations to the Ron Paul campaign. The records are publicly available for scrutiny, yet no pattern of contributions like that emerges, despite the nutty accusations.

I guess we had to have a second Breaking Non-News thread since that last one yesterday was being laughed at and ridiculed even by FReepers who don't support Ron Paul at all.

You'd think that instead of relying on negative attacks on a candidate that they insist can never win the nomination, some of these Paul-haters would focus on doing something, anything really, to actually help their own candidate. I suppose that's also somehow Ron Paul's fault too.

Did you know that Ron Paul causes cancer? That's right. CANCER! Don't let his sweet mild-mannered baby-doctor ways fool you. And his supporters are all neo-Nazis in league with Osama bin Laden too. If that RP cancer doesn't get you, his jihadist horde will!
