Catholic Insight (CI), however, bases its editorial policy very strictly on Catholic Church teaching which is at pains to separate what it says is the deviant behaviour and disordered inclination of homosexuality from the person.

And the left has decided that homosexualism clearly trumps religious freedom.

It's time for Canada to rid itself of these HRC's. Maybe with all the media outrage, (finally), these evil groups will be disbanded.

One can only hope and pray.

Ironic isn’t it?...a Human Rights Commission discriminating against a religion for expounding it’s teachings...Someone should tell them that religious people have rights too and vastly outnumber the smaller group the HRC is defending..so whose rights are being trampled on here ?....it is reverse discrimination—try and defend that if they can get beyond their babbling excuses...

Are you kidding!
There is no 'media outrage' in Canada
in fact
the case barely has been mentioned
not even by some 'conservative' blogs.

HRCs are here to stay and Canadians
(those few who know about the case)
don't give a damn.

One can only hope and pray.

Better to pray for Hell to freeze over.
You'll likely to find more luck in that enterprise.

Yep. Actual studies indicate that homosexuals only make up about 2 to 3 percent of the population, even with the decades-long assault on Christianity, I would think that they still make up well over half of the population of Canada and at least a significant portion of that is devout. So, what we have is a huge segment of the population being forced to disavow six thousand years of religious beliefs just to placate a few people who suffer from what until very recently was correctly termed a mental illness.

‘The case’ I was referring to
was the ‘Mark Steyn’ case
but what I said applies even more
to all the other HR cases.

Canadians are apathetic about ‘free speech’.

Actually
I’d go further than this
to say
they’d rather not have it.

I’m not sure what your idiosyncratic tagline smiley means, but let me suggest “smug and morally superior delusional Canucklehead whose personna is somewhat exacerbated by a bad beard”.

Allan,

Some outrage is better than none.

The Mark Steyn case may be gaining some momentum. You can check out some other links here, here, here and here.

I wouldn't be so willing to give up on Canada. There's too much at stake.

I'll continue to hope and pray for Canada.

I doubt most homosexuals are really that political. They are just being used as a mascot for the people who are in charge, or aspire to be in charge. They want to discredit and silence their opponents by any means possible, and homosexuality is just the most convenient weapon right now since it ties in with the sexual revolution.
