Will Smith has disappointed us in ways we couldve never imagined.
In an interview, the 39-year-old family man and former-all around good guy says he sees the good in everyone, including Adolf Hitler.
"Even Hitler didnt wake up going, Let me do the most evil thing I can do today. I think he woke up in the morning and using a twisted, backwards logic, he set out to do what he thought was good. Stuff like that just needs reprogramming, Smith told the Daily Record.
Um, yeah, except for the whole killing six million Jews thing.
Will, youve broken our hearts.
Its you that needs reprogramming.
Another resident of Hollywood who should not speak without a script.
Perhaps he wants to co-star with Mel Gibson.
Reprogramming?
Did he turn $cientologist. If his grandmother was still alive, she would slap him.
Perhaps he is planning to endorse Hillary.
Sounds just like my Mom who was indoctrinated in Hitler’s schools before and during WWII.
I can’t help but scream in frustration at her cause she STILL says that Hitler was a great leader!
OUCH!!!
Sounds like Smith has been spending too much time with Tom Cruise and his Scientology crap.
But the trains ran on time ... until the 8th Air Force bombed the heck outta them.
Where exactly did he say those exact words? Until they can provide THAT quote this is just sensationalism.
What a tremendously stupid thing to say.
I think Will hired Pat Buchanan’s old PR guy.
...there is one thing we need to consider, this is Page Six.. they have thrown complete BS out there before, especially on people who are in the news.. this could be made up article or completely misquoted..
Another case of “Shut up and act!”
This is a good example of humanist thought - that, at the core, all people are somehow ‘good’ and that matters of right and wrong are relevant to many factors. He’s just saying what he believes. He rejects the notions of evil and sin. Let’s pray that a) Will Smith will wake up before he dies, and b) that he sticks to acting.
tagline
my father always told me that everyone can be a good example for others. For example, Hitler is a very good example of a evil person and should be put away. Everyone agrees Hitler was the worse, thus, excellent example of what not to be.
This guy is so freakin’ dumb. Never liked his acting in fact he’s such a ham he ruins movies. So I avoid movies that he’s in. Chris Tucker is my idea of a great black actor. This guy sucks. You never feel he’s the guy he is acting to be.
Drive-by, "gotcha" journalism at its worst.
Small wonder people hate the media.
I think you are on to something.. So far, I can’t find the so called Daily Record source interview.
He’ll get a pass on this easy.
I know she went through hell at the hands of the Russians when they captured Berlin. But her total, absolute devotion to Hitler and the rest of his henchmen drives me insane!
Smith probably wishes he hadn't said this, but at least there is some amount of reasoning there. His position seems to be that the mind is capable of infinite rationalization, and that Hitler thought he was doing the right thing. I would submit that Hitler (and other dictators) will do anything that will keep them in power, which is inherently evil.
Not very well thought out on Smith's part, but at least he isn't speaking from pure emotion like many liberals.
Soooo....does that mean Will Smith can see the “good” in Conservatives, i.e. Reagan, too? Bet not....
Oh COME ON.
Read the article. He said (to paraphrase) “Hitler though IN HIS TWISTED WAY he was doing good.”
Smith’s statement is undeniably true. Hitler THOUGHT what he was doing (creating a master state/race whatever) was a good thing.
Yes, of course, Hitler was wrong.
Basically, Smith just said “the PATH TO HELL IS PAVED WITH GOOD INTENTIONS.”
Hitler was a complete evil bastard.
Problem is, Hitler, himself, thought he was a great guy doing good.
No one gets up in the morning and says “let’s do evil.” All the psychopaths in the world think they are helping us out.
Maybe he’s been reading Marge Schott’s autobiography.
He built the autobahn, didn’t he?
He put millions back to work, didn’t he?
He made people proud to be German again, didn’t he?
He made some great tanks and airplanes for us kids to build as models, didn’t he?
He thought the Russians were bad before the US caught on, didn’t he?
He executed Soviet spies, not place them in high government office like Roosevelt did, didn’t he?
...(sigh)...
Hmmmm...your comment made me think......maybe Smith will see the “good” that’s “bad” in Hitlery...er...Hillary.
The deluded thinking of liberal-socialist.
Found it, here is the original interview.

The article is still a smattering of quotes, not the full interview. I still don’t trust anything from the MSM without vetting.
Less than 5 minutes ago I was reading a post in an online class from someone who believes that child molesters are "emotionally desperate" and if we could just help them find more constructive ways to fulfill their needs they could be useful members of society.
Because it was a class, I refrained from asking the poster if she would volunteer her own children to help us check that some child molester's needs had been sufficiently fulfilled (or just calling her a moron, which wasalso very tempting).
I agree.
I believe that every evil man rationalizes bad actions, and in his mind, makes them good.
If that is the worst thing Will Smith said, I don't know what the problem is.
This could apply to the President of a large Multinational corp. “I don’t care how you do it just get it done”
This hit piece means Mr Smith is a little too popular and must be taken down a notch.
He is right. Hitler did think he was doing good. Those who believe otherwise are childlike fools. Most evil in the world is done not by those who set out to do it as a goal but do it in the name of the greater good. Marxism was the same thing.
But of course he is right, Every person seeks the good, and he does evil by choosing the false good. But woe unto him that calls evil good and good evil.
You forgot the megabarfhurlalert.
Looks like Will is supporting Obama.

And I’m sure Hitler would have loved him, too—all the way to the concentration camps. Is this dufus at all aware of what Hitler was, and what he thought of non-whites?
“The headline is misleading...”
Yes, the so-called quote doesn’t appear anywhere except the headline. Nearly all the comments sent to the NY Post are accusing them of sloppy journalism.
“Where exactly did he say those exact words? Until they can provide THAT quote this is just sensationalism.”
Correct.
Good thing he didn’t say something really threatening to the chronically offendable lke Merry CHRISTmas.
That is true, and a majority of his countrymen bought into it or looked the other way.
But what Germany in the 1930s thought was 'good' was actually evil, and brought to a halt in 1945.
So what's the 'news' here...?
“Pro 10:19 When there are many words, transgression is unavoidable, But he who restrains his lips is wise.”
Be careful, you might shut down the internet!
Yes,you're correct,Mr Smith. He didn't say that until after his first cup of coffee of the day.

warning: above site contains foul language
The headline is a crock. Will Smith did not say Hitler was a good person. Smith said he believed Hitler thought that what he was doing was good in his own sick twisted way. Completely different thing. Headline written to dumn his remarks down for mass shallow consumption.
