First time in six surveys Obama has polled above McCain (easily within the MoE). McCain slips 2-points from his last showing against Hillary - still holding in the mid-40s.

As much as liberals talk about tolerance, the fact remains that many NE liberals are bigots. Wouldn't surprise me if that's the reason.

Polling Mass now?

Daffy Duck would beat any GOP candidate in America.
Not that Mass is really part of America anymore any more than is California...

McCain wins Southeast MA and Cape Cod versus Hillary, falls several point behind in West-Central MA (from the previous survey), and garners 43% of Metropolitan Boston versus Hillary.

McCain matches Obama out West, loses the SE/Cape, and garners a whopping 47% in Metropolitan Boston.

The McCain List.

This can be a bellweather in a way. If Hillary and Obama cannot win here by sizeable margins they are toast nationwide.

Massachusetts bigots --> You're absolutely right.

And, since this was a survey of the bluest state, it really doesn't count for much.

Remember --> MA continues to vote for Kennedy and Kerry (barf)

What does Massachusetts have against Obama?

Racism rearing its ugly head in a liberal state. Why do you think the Boston Celtics used to have to sit a token white guy at the end of their bench?

The RAT nominee will take two-thirds of the Gay States’s vote next year regardless of who we nominate. And that includes Romney.

How BRILLIANT would it be if McCain manages to gets some dem and/or indy votes while still adhering to the true Conservative values of Pro-Life, 2nd Amendment, Support for the Military & Fiscal Responsibility!

It’s a good thing how he can work in a bi-partisan fashion on some things, but “never surrender” on the ones that really count. That’s statesmanship! And brings us together as a nation.

(What we need in Government is MORE STATESMEN and FEWER “POLITICIANS”!).

McCain understands the role of government and the job of POTUS better than anyone else running! Hopefully everyone will realize this soon enough to give him the nom!

Racism rearing its ugly head in a liberal state.

For twenty years I lived in one of the most chic, richest, most "progressive" suburbs of Boston (and for the record,I am not chic,"progressive" or rich).Periodically a proposal would be made to build an "affordable" housing complex in town as was required under state law.Whenever such a proposal was made residents of the town would go *ballistic*."How can you do that?"...."our roads couldn't handle it"....."our schools couldn't handle it"....etc,etc.It was fun to watch the hypocrisy unfold with the "beautiful" people living in town!

The eventual Pubbie candidate is not going to burn dollars or shoe leather in Taxachusetts just to gain a percentage point or two. It will go dem no matter who their candidate is. Such is life in the Northeast these days.

This poll is whacked. How can Survey USA show McCain competitive in Kennedy Land and yet trailing Hillary in Virginia?

Pumpsie Green? Bill Russell? What?

Massachusetts hates Mitt. Probably because he lied through hi teeth to them and has been making fun of them across the country.

It was particularly bad when Mitt was campaigning for president while still being governor, and he would talk pro-life and bash Massachusetts while campaigning, but back in Mass he'd pretend it didn't happen -- as if the media wasn't following him around, reporting his remarks.

Mitt thinks he's smarter than everyone else and it shows, and it turns people off.

Massachusetts just came off 16 straight years of Republican governors from 1991 to 2007.
