Happy Christmas Suzi - thank you so much for your prayers for various people at my place of work or their partners during the year I am sure they have made a difference.

You will be pleased to know that my boss Dan appears to have made a full recovery from his heart attack and has resumed his normal work schedule again in fact has made 2 trips to China and is due to make another one in January. Here he is with his wife who is my immediate boss at our Christmas party.

I watched it on TV it was lovely

Your Christmas Day sounds great when mum was alive we used to have presents at midnight either just after or while watching the service on TV.

Then off to bed and get up about 8.30 have a coffee with mum and help her get the dinner which we would eat just after the Queen’s speech.

Nowadays dad and I may exchange a gift at midnight but leave the main present opening till later in the day. This year was strange dad decided after watching the service on TV that he would have a lay down for an hour and then get ready for bed. I called him and he asked for another 10 minutes, I then fell asleep in the chair and dad went to sleep as well.

We both woke up about 6.00am so we gave each one gift then and then dad went back to bed about 7.30am and I had my usual Christmas breakfast of a cup of coffee with cream and some chocolates. Then I watched a couple of movies on TV and then a couple of DVDs. Then dad and I watched the Quuen's speech before preparing dinner which was ham that I had boiled yesterday. I coated it in honey and rubbed in brown sugar and maple syrup and put into the oven to caramlize for about 40 minutes and served with carrots, sprouts, mashed potato and swede and boiled potatoes. Desert was Christmas Pudding and clotted cream with brandy.

Then for supper we had cheese and biscuits (crackers).
