Tom Gentile, a retired Army sergeant major who investigates allegations of military impostors and reports his results to authorities, wanted California to pass an even stronger law. With 42 years of military service, he runs the Legion of Valor Museum in Fresno.

Medals are displayed inside the Legion of Valor Museum in Fresno. A new state law makes it a crime in Caifornia to wear or claim such decorations that weren't earned. Veterans say deception defames the true service of honorable veterans.

Lefties trying to make themselves look patriotic. They should be beaten with baseball bats about the legs and feet. Stinking slime is what they are.

Cook, who unsuccessfully pushed for a felony statute in California, said he is seeking public humiliation for people peddling phony stories of heroism.
A felony? This guy may be a veteran, but he is also an idiot.

Would this law apply to Kerry if he ever visits California and says his Nam lies.
“To state Assemblyman Paul Cook, R-Yucca Valley, the case represents just one of many far too many episodes of people impersonating veterans, embellishing service records or claiming medals they never earned.
Cook, a Marine Corps veteran and a Purple Heart recipient in the Vietnam War, this year pushed through a California version of the Stolen Valor Act.
The law, which takes effect Tuesday, adds another tier of enforcement to the federal act by allowing state and local law enforcement to cite anyone who falsely dons or claims a military medal or decoration the person didn’t earn.
Expanding upon an existing state statute allowing misdemeanor citations against people who falsely claim to be active service members or veterans, the law makes it an infraction to lie about military awards...”
Kerry is safe in Mass. and DC. The anti Americans in those areas would never pass a bill like this.

I have a friend who was my counterpart in HR at one of our manufacturing plants in PA and also a Vietnam combat medic. About 3 or 4 years ago we were emailing back and forth about Vietnam and he told me one of his friends at the plant who worked out in the shop claimed to be a recipient of the Navy Cross while in Vietnam.
Well, I always want verification before I accept information such as this so I was able to obtain the guy's personnel record and checked out his DD-214. While the guy did serve in the Marines in Vietnam, there was no indication that he received any medal other then the Vietnam service medal and a couple other basic ones.
I then checked all over the internet looking for info on this guy relevant to his medal status but there was absolutely nothing.
That being the case, the only conlusion left for me was that the guy was a phony and I told my friend this information. Unfortunately the guy was laid off in 2002 when the plant closed so my friend was never able to confront the guy with this information.......

KRAMER: Some taxidermy that’s been in my family for generations, my Tony, my... military discharge.
JERRY: (doubtful) You were in the Army?
KRAMER: Y- B-briefly. Now, I gotta find a good place to hide this key. Because if somebody finds this, they hold the key to all my possessions. (makes a clicking sound)

KRAMER: (stuttering gibberish, gestures that they should leave) A little... privacy, uh?
JERRY: Oh, come on!
ELAINE: Oh!
KRAMER: Come on, Jerry, this is a security issue! (Elaine laughs) Boy, you wouldn’t last a DAY in the Army.
JERRY: (walking towards door with Elaine) How long did you last? (opens door)
KRAMER: Well, that’s classified.
