December 27, 2007, 12:21 PM Clinton Reaction to Bhutto Assassination Posted by Fernando Suarez
(CBS) From CBS News' Fernando Suarez:
LAWTON, IOWA -- Hillary Clinton reacted to the assassination of former Pakistani Prime Ministar Benazir Bhutto today saying, "The world is once again reminded of the dangers facing those who pursue democracy and free elections in Pakistan and elsewhere, in areas that are rife with conflict and violence and extremeism and anti-democratic forces at work."
"I have known Benazir Bhutto for a dozen years and I knew her as a leader. I knew her as someone was willing to take a risks to persue democracy on behalf of the people of Pakistan. She wrote a very moving autobiography which begins with the assassination of her father who was had been the leader of Pakistan and was killed as well."
"I grieve for her family, particularly her two children. And I grieve for the people of Pakistan who deserve to have an opportunity to vote for leaders of their choosing, who deserve to have democracy take root in a country that has tremendous potential that is not being realized because their system of government has oppressed or undermined the abilities and talents of millions of Pakistanis."
"And I hope that if their is any opportunity for the government and people of Pakistan to respod to this tragedy appropriately, it would be to move more steadfastly and determinately toward democracy. She has given her life for that hope."
"And I know to the people of our country stand in solidarity with those who believe, as we do, in the rights of people to be heard at the ballot box. We're about to see that begin in our own country in just a week, and so it is a particularly poignat moment for us to extend our sympathy and condolensces to the Bhutto family and to the people of Pakistan. And I certainly will do anything I can to support the continuing efforts to democratzie a very important and critical nation to the future of that region and the world."
Oh, Thank God we have a Hillary reaction! /s
Typical Clinton. She takes the opportunity to talk about the USA (voters must take control through democracy). POS
But I thought the left loves Islamic terrorists.
Oh, put a sock in it, you weathered old hag.
Translation: Bhutto is dead. Vote for me.
You are NO Benazir Bhutto......................
“Hillary Clinton reacted to the assassination of former Pakistani Prime Ministar Benazir Bhutto today saying, “The world is once again reminded of the dangers facing those who pursue democracy and free elections in Pakistan and elsewhere, in areas that are rife with conflict and violence and extremeism and anti-democratic forces at work.”
So you had to be reminded, Hil? Those of us on the right haven’t forgotten about the Islamic militant threat.

Given all the junkets she has been on, the World's Smartest Woman is
undoubtedly qualified to speak on behalf of the Unites States concerning
matters of foreign policy.
“I knew her as someone was willing to take a risks to persue democracy.....”
Good grief.....does she really speak this way?
She is dancing in Bhutto’s blood to enhance her own candidacy.
Gee, Hillary only used “I” eight times...
...except in Iraq where we have to leave because George Bush tricked me.
bingo
Anotherwords nothing. She didn’t even condemn the cowardly terrorists who killed her.
Pray for W and Our Troops
Who wrote this? Insert the word -who- after "someone"; "persue" s/b pursue.
Sheesh.

Fox showed Hillary! speaking about Bhutto, her dear friend for over12 years. She sends condolences to Bhutto's two children. Bhutto has three children. You'd think a DEAR FRIEND would know that. Heads will roll over that mis statement.
"I grieve for her family, particularly her two children."
mylife> Bhutto has 3 children.
I understand that she's a Yankee fan also. #!%&!@#!* opportunistic phoney.
The woman is a braying jackass who has once again shot herself in the foot. I heard her talk about “when I become president at noon on January 20, 2008” and thought: has this woman no genuine compassion or shame? I think a lot of other folks are going to feel the same way.
"And I hope that if their is any opportunity for the government and people..."
Not only that but she keeps saying their when she should say there.
I grieve for her family, particularly her two children. And I grieve for the people of Pakistan
***********
This cold person doesn’t grieve.
Politics is full of phoniness
You get the award for the most succinct translation of the day!
I wished I'd thought of that for my opponents!
IMO, Hillary’s got assassination experience.....

“the assassination of her father”.
The last I had seen, her father was executed for participating in or ordering the murder of a political opponent. I guess that could be called an assassination if you really, really stretch it.
Only eight times for the first person pronoun. Screw the deceased, it’s all about Hillary.
I thought they hanged him?
Boilerplate + fill in the blanks.
...AND she uses the word AND a lot, AND starts sentences with AND often. AND I'm tired of her AND her husband.

Yet Penn is no ordinary pollster. Beyond his connections to the Clintons, he not only polls for America’s biggest companies but also runs one of the world’s premier PR agencies. This creates a dilemma for Hillary: Penn represents many of the interests whose influence candidate Clinton—in an attempt to appeal to an increasingly populist Democratic electorate—has vowed to curtail. Is what’s good for Penn and his business good for Hillary’s political career? And furthermore, can she convincingly claim to fight for the average American with Penn guiding strategy in her corner?
Mark Penn....

Burson and Pakistan
In their piece about Pakistani government lobbying, my colleagues Patrick O’Connor and Samuel Loewenberg report:
Meanwhile, the Pakistani opposition party, led by Bhutto, has retained public relations giant Burson-Marsteller and its affiliates, the lobbying firm BKSH & Associates, and the polling firm Penn, Schoen and Berland Associates. The firm declined comment on its activities, which it is charging an initial $75,000, to be followed with monthly payments of $28,500.
The contract filed with the Justice Department does, however, give some insight into what all of the money buys. Among the promised services: surveys of 100 American political, journalistic, and business elites in Washington, D.C., and New York; an internal brainstorming session; and setting up meetings for Bhutto in Washington with an eye towards convincing U.S. officials that Prime Minister Bhutto is still relevant to further the democratic process in Pakistan.
Burson, of course, is the company run by Clinton’s key adviser, Mark Penn. PSB is the polling company he founded. BKSH is the subsidiary run by Charlie Black, the same one that prepped the head of Blackwater for his congressional testimony. Penn doesn’t have day to day involvement with Black’s lobbying firm, but this does put his company solidly in one camp in the most important crisis in the world right now.
A smart statement by Mrs. Clinton, written purposely from the perspective of her personal relationship to underline her experience and Obama’s lack thereof.
> ... And I grieve for the people of Pakistan who deserve to
> have an opportunity to vote for leaders of their choosing ...
Her Heinous needs to demonstrate her solidarity with the
people of Pakistan by visiting there and making some
outdoor public addresses...
... after she has her ghostwriter get her facts
straight, of course ...
Did she REALLY say 2-0-0-8? Is she planning a coup-de-tat? Or does she have a hard time understanding that the next President (and it WON'T be her) takes office in the year Two Thousand and NINE?
This vile beast is using Bhutto's death to try to "connect" with female voters. I guess the endorsements of daughter & mommy are sticking on the wall.
And a husband who didn't even warrant mention by her thighness.
That’s how he was executed. Is that an “assassination”?
Ive posted a thread pointing out this error on Hillys part.
Thanks for pointing it out.
You’re welcome. I hate it when she lies.(Which is when she speaks).
oops.
what about health care?
Sure are alot of “I”s in that statement.
Once again FR leads the news.
Your observation will be all over the news by this weekend.
You done good FRiend
