Habitual lateness is just an adult version of a temper tantrum. It is a pathetic attempt to get attention or impress someone that your needs come first.

Exactly. Give the guy a break. He needs time to make sure his hair is perfect.

He [Edwards] must have a fantastic bimbo eruption squad since this story is so well buried. Remarkable how fast that story died, huh?
If it were a Republican candidate it would be getting airplay 24/7.

LOL. And if I don’t stop snacking on holiday goodies, the whole world will start revolving around me.

This was his problem last election. He still hasn’t even made an attempt to fix it?

From Edward’s facial expression, it appears that it suddenly dawned on him that he was having a Gary Hart moment.

Opps. I just realized that I fell for a photo-shop gag. Good one. (Blush!)

Opps. I just realized that I fell for a photo-shop gag. Good one. (Blush!)Gotcha!
Actually, I thought that most would recognize it as the famous Gary Hart "Monkey Business" photo.

a buddy of mine works for a federal law enforcement agency. He became friendly with a Secret Service agent who had the misfortune of being on Slick Willie’s detail for awhile. The agent told my friend that Slickster was notorious for being late all the time. One quote from Willie to his handlers who were trying to get him somewhere, “That’s all right, the party don’t start until I get there”.I’m sure the Pony would be glad to follow in Clinton’s footsteps

Yep. You got me.
I think I recognized it, before I didn’t recognize it. Then, I finally recognized it.
To: mkjessup
I think and wish this all the time.
I just don’t mention it as I don’t want the Democrat thought police to arrest me for thinking.

He’s not as late as Rielle Hunter!

He routinely begins events more than 45 minutes or even an hour past the scheduled starting time,Well, he's a schuyster lawyer, of course. He's obviously able to charge his campaign more billable hours so when he's done slouching for the presidency he'll have a nice little nest egg with which to settle down.

Like Bill Clinton and Jesse Jackson before him, Mr. Edwards nearly always runs late while campaigning for the Democratic presidential nomination putting skanks into positions on his staff.
To: jdm
He just needs a good performer to open for him, the way Johnny Cash used to open for Elvis in the early fifties.

He routinely begins events more than 45 minutes or even an hour past the scheduled starting time, keeping dozens or, lately, hundreds of people in jam-packed rooms awaiting his entrance. My first thought is that anyone stupid enough to support this assclown deserves whatever abuse they get. The guy is a joke.
To: jdm
People like clinton and edwards who typically run late are in essence saying to everyone waiting for them that their time isn’t worth anything because they are so much more important than you are.

They are correct.
Anyone stupid enough to put up with that abuse deserves it.
It is part of their "I am royalty. You are serfs." mentality.
