French physicist calls Al Gore a 'crook' over global warming issues

Al Gore is taking a beating in France, where people long resisted the green message and the nuclear industry thrives for home energy.

Bloomberg's Jorg von Uthmann reports that the Paris bookstores are filled with tomes debunking the Gore message despite him winning the Nobel Peace Prize.

France's number one Gore debunker is physicist Claude Allegre, a former education minister and a physicist by profession. Uthmann reports that his new book, ``Ma Verite Sur la Planete'' - My Truth About the Planet'' - lays it out.

Gore is called a "crook" presiding over an eco-business that pumps out cash.

I welcome this news but, I'm a little hesitant to ally myself with someone whose name in English is Mr. Happy.(In Spanish anyway.)

Al Gore: MAN-MADE GLOBAL WARMING WILL KILL US ALL!

Me: Yeah, right! Tell that to Mr. Happy here!

Naaaah, doesn't quite work for me.

Don’t read too much into this. The French disagree with everyone just on principle. Al Gore could have said the sky is blue and they’d say “non”.

IT’S OVER AL Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Al proves that the apple (try saying that last word with two fingers in your mouth and you'll be much closer to the word I wanted to use but can't say here) doesn't fall too far from the tree.

Americans have memories shorter than Bill Clinton's (fill in your favorite male body part here) so a little review of history is in order (not that anyone will remember any of this when Al launches his dark horse shot at the White House).

Al's old man was a bud to Armand Hammer who was the ONLY American (and I use that title very loosely here) allowed to fly his private jet into and out of the USSR under Stalin and his successors without either US or USSR diplomatic clearance. Hammer cranked up and ran many businesses for old Uncle Joe, starting with a pencil factory as they had to keep records of those 60 million kulaks Joe starved to death. So your application of the term "communist" is an apt one.

Old Armand gave Al, Sr. TONS of campaign dough and Al, Sr. carried Armand's water on Capitol Hill for years.

And here's a REAL piece of irony: Hammer owned a significant stake in Occidental Petroleum which was responsible for the LOVE CANAL toxic waste mess in New York. Gotta wonder how much of born-again envirowhacko Al, Jr's current assets flowed from the profits Hammer and Occidental generated from burying those thousands of barrels of sickening toxic sludge at Love Canal.

Gee, could that be why Al is on his current crusade? Guilt? A heartfeld desire to purge the sins of his old man??

NYAAHHHHHHHHHH...!!!!

Maybe now that they have a more conservative pro US leader the ‘other’ French are getting more coverage and are speaking out.

What, exactly, is happening in France?
First they elect Sarkozy (known to like America), now they’re coming out with statements claiming Gore is a fraud.

I still can’t believe that people believe the ‘science’ and scare tactics of a losing politician.

H.L. Mencken warned of politicians like this... I wish I could find the exact quote...

Al Gore is taking a beating in France, where people long resisted the green message and the nuclear industry thrives for home energy.

If the greenies had a brain, they would have realized long ago that nuclear energy could be a big part of the answer to CO2 emissions, assuming you buy into all the dangers of man made CO2 emissions.

The flim-flam con man? You bet. Selling “carbon credits” is right up there with selling Jeremiah Peabody’s All-Purpose Nostrum. Except you don’t have to bottle it, or even show any receipt later “for value received”.

After all, you just have Al Gore’s word that the trees that were supposed to supply the “carbon reduction” were actually planted.

Now, if Al could convert the Sahara Desert in Africa into something like the Amazon basin, that would be a remarkable feat, and probably would do something toward taking advantage of global warming, creating a win-win situation for everybody.

Don’t just bemoan desertification. Take active steps to REVERSE it.

Not just France either.

Quebec (in the last federal and provincial elections) elected a number of right-thinking individuals to public office.

2007 marks the beginning of the end of the Great Global Warming Hoax. I hope 2008 puts a stake in its heart! (Along with the statin drug hoax!)

Moaning is what Liberals do. Accomplishing things is for other people who aren't as smart as they are.

I don't agree with this quote from the artice:

Gore is called a "crook" presiding over an eco-business that pumps out cash.

AlGore is pumping out usless carbon credits and raking in the cash!

It took me a couple of visits to realize where their center of gravity was.

I got linked there today concerning the mysterious deaths surrounding the Clintons.

got dizzy from the spin. David Kendall could have written it himself.

perhaps he did!
